Nanoelectronic thermometers optimised for sub-10 millikelvin operation [PDF]
We report the cooling of electrons in nanoelectronic Coulomb blockade thermometers below 4 mK. Above 7 mK the devices are in good thermal contact with the environment, well isolated from electrical noise, and not susceptible to self-heating.

RESONANT AND NON-RESONANT INTERACTION OF SEMICONDUCTOR NANOCRYSTALS WITH LOCALIZED PLASMONS [PDF]
Subject of Research. The paper presents the study of fluorescence enhancement of semiconductor nanocrystals and organic dyes using plasmon resonances. The study is interesting from both basic and applied science point of view.

Spectrally selective fluorescence imaging of Chlorobaculum tepidum reaction centers conjugated to chelator-modified silver nanowires [PDF]
A polyhistidine tag (His-tag) present on Chlorobaculum tepidum reaction centers (RCs) was used to immobilize photosynthetic complexes on a silver nanowire (AgNW) modified with nickel-chelating nitrilo-triacetic acid (Ni-NTA).

In Situ ATR-SEIRAS of Carbon Dioxide Reduction at a Plasmonic Silver Cathode. [PDF]
Illumination of a voltage-biased plasmonic Ag cathode during CO2 reduction results in a suppression of the H2 evolution reaction while enhancing CO2 reduction.

Giant third optical harmonic generation in island silver films
Giant third optical harmonic (TH) generation has been experimentally observed in island silver films. The TH intensity in the island silver films studied is more than two orders of magnitude higher than the value observed for the smooth surface of a homogeneous silver film. The mechanism of enhancement of the nonlinear cubic response is associated with

Electrochemical deposition of SERS active nanostructured silver films
An electrochemical multiple scan cyclic voltammetry (CV) method was used to prepare surface- enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) active silver island films to investigate the effect of potential scan rate and number of CV scans on the SERS performance.
