The inclusion degree and similarity degree of fuzzy rough sets defined by nanda
2010 Seventh International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery, 2010In this paper, the properties of the inclusion degree and similarity degree of L- fuzzy sets are presented. On the basis, the inclusion degree and similarity degree of fuzzy rough sets are defined. The generating methods of the inclusion degree and similarity degree of fuzzy rough sets are presented, through the proved properties of the inclusion ...

Degrees of Similarity in Knowledge Transfer
2003In analogical problem solving individuals infer an abstract solution schema from the source and apply it to the target. The schema is composed by the relevant elements which can be matched onto the target. It is assumed that stories sharing a high number of elements are perceived as more similar than stories having a lower number of common elements. An

Degree and similarity based search in networks
2011 Eighth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery (FSKD), 2011Decentralized search in networks is an important algorithmic problem in the study of complex networks and graph mining. It has a large number of practical applications, including shortest paths search in social network relationship, web pages search in WWW, querying files in peer-to-peer file sharing networks and so on.

Degree of Similarity in Fuzzy Partition
2002In this paper, we discuss preciseness of data in terms of obtaining degree of similarity in which fuzzy set can be used as an alternative to represent imprecise data. Degree of similarity between two imprecise data represented in two fuzzy sets is approximately determined by using fuzzy conditional probability relation.

Degree of Similarity of Root Trees
2018Adaptive User Interfaces (UI) provide better user experience as users a receive personalized presentation. These UIs heavily rely on contextual data. Context helps the application to recognize user needs and thus adjust the UI. First time user receives a generalized experience; however, as the user uses the application more often it gathers lots of ...

Colorful orthology clustering in bounded-degree similarity graphs
Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, 2021Clustering genes in similarity graphs is a popular approach for orthology prediction. Most algorithms group genes without considering their species, which results in clusters that contain several paralogous genes. Moreover, clustering is known to be problematic when in-paralogs arise from ancient duplications.

Query Similar Music by Correlation Degree
2001We present in this paper a novel system for query by humming, our method differs from other ones in the followings: Firstly, we use recurrent neural network as the index of music database. Secondly, we present correlation degree to evaluate the music matching precision. We now hold a database of 201 pieces of music with various genres.

The self-similarity of complex networks: From the view of degree–degree distance
Modern Physics Letters B, 2021Self-similarity of complex networks has been discovered and attracted much attention. However, the self-similarity of complex networks was measured by the classical distance of nodes. Recently, a new feature, which is named as degree–degree distance, is used to measure the distance of nodes.

Degree of Similarity of Web Applications
2014In this chapter, the authors present a way of measuring the similarity between two Web applications. For this, they define the degree of similarity between two Web applications, taking into account only the Webpages composed of HTML tags. The authors also introduce an algorithm used to calculate this value, its implementation being made in the Java ...

Classification of Complex Structured Objects on the Base of Similarity Degrees
2007In the paper, we propose an algorithm for classification of complex structured objects. The objects, expressed in a first-order logic (FOL) language, are positive and negative examples of a target relation. In the process of searching for a classification pattern, a similarity measure and some notions of rough set theory are applied.
