Additive Gaussian Process Regression for Predictive Design of High‐Performance, Printable Silicones
A chemistry‐aware design framework for tuning printable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for vat photopolymerization (VPP) is developed using additive Gaussian process (GP) modeling. Polymer network mechanics informs variable groupings, feasible formulation constraints, and interaction variables.

Riemannian geometry and molecular similarity II: Kähler quantization
Shape similarity between molecules is a concept used by chemists for virtual screening, with the goal of reducing the cost and duration of drug discovery campaigns. This paper reports an entirely novel shape descriptor as an alternative to the previously described descriptors (Hall et al.

Effect of Oxygen Content on Surface and Subsurface Integrity During Turning of Ti–6Al–4V
This study examines how oxygen content in the ambient atmosphere affects the surface and subsurface properties of Ti–6Al–4V during turning. Results show that oxygen does not influence surface roughness. However, machining in an extremely high vacuum‐adequate atmosphere increases surface hardness by up to 7.8% and induces compressive residual stresses ...

Self-Similarity in Geometry, Algebra and Arithmetic
We define the concept of self-similarity of an object by considering endomorphisms of the object as `similarity' maps. A variety of interesting examples of self-similar objects in geometry, algebra and arithmetic are introduced. Self-similar objects provide a framework in which, one can unite some results and conjectures in different mathematical ...

Oxide‐Free Titanium Coatings by Wire Arc Spraying in a Silane‐Doped Inert Atmosphere
A silane‐doped argon atmosphere enables the production of oxide‐free titanium coatings via twin‐wire arc spraying at ambient pressure. This innovative approach eliminates residual oxygen, creating process conditions that prevent oxidation and nitride formation.

Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Hybrid geometry sets for global registration of cross-source geometric data
We propose a concept of hybrid geometry sets for registering cross-source geometric data. Specifically, our method focuses on the coarse registration of geometric data obtained from laser scanning and photogrammetric reconstruction.
