FUZZY SIMILARITY AND MEASURE OF SIMILARITY WITH LUKASIEWICZ IMPLICATOR [PDF]
Given a universe of discourse X. A fuzzy similarity mapping ST,Inc : F(X) × F(X) → F(X) is defined, where F(X) denotes the set of all fuzzy subsets of X. Mapping ST,Inc maps two fuzzy sets A and B to a fuzzy set ST,Inc(A,B) in X called their fuzzy set of similarity.

AbstractThis article analyses the relationship between the concept of single aspect similarity and proposed measures of similarity. More precisely, it compares eleven measures of similarity in terms of how well they satisfy a list of desiderata, chosen to capture common intuitions concerning the properties of similarity and the relations between ...

Similarity Measurement in Context
2007Context plays a crucial role when measuring the similarity of two concepts. Nonetheless, the modelling of context has been mostly neglected in existing similarity measurement theories. In this paper, we explore the influence of context in existing similarity measurement approaches for the geospatial domain, focussing on whether and how these approaches

On Measuring Similarity for Conceptual Querying
2002The focus of this paper is approaches to measuring similarity for application in connection with query evaluation. Rather than only comparing at the level of words the issue here is to compare concepts that appear as compound expressions derived from list of words through brief natural language analysis. Concepts refers to and are compared with respect
