Heterodimeric amino acid transporters consist of SLC7 and SLC3 family proteins arranged in a conserved structural organization. They regulate nutrient transport across cell membranes, supporting essential cellular functions. These transporters also contribute to xenobiotic/drug uptake and distribution.

Similarity of sensorimotor experience as a measure of the relatedness among the meanings
PDP models of lexical ambiguity (Rodd, 2018) see the word meaning as distributed in the pattern of activation of basic units, the patterns being more similar in the case of related senses of the polysemous words (paper), than in the case of unrelated ...

Image Similarity Metrics in Image Registration [PDF]
Measures of image similarity that inspect the intensity probability distribution of the images have proved extremely popular in image registration applications. The joint entropy of the intensity distributions and the marginal entropies of the individual

Leucine‐rich glioma inactivated 1 (LGI1) is a ganglioside‐binding protein
Neuronal hyperexcitability associated with a decrease/absence of the extracellular protein LGI1 has been suggested to be primarily due to the downregulation of Kv1 channel expression. The molecular mechanisms underlying this decrease have not yet been elucidated.

New similarity measures for ligand-based virtual screening [PDF]
The process of drug discovery using virtual screening techniques relies on “molecular similarity principle” which states that structurally similar molecules tend to have similar physicochemical and biological properties in comparison to other dissimilar ...

Inhibition of dipeptidyl peptidase 7 impairs lysophagy in LLOMe‐treated HepG2 cells
DPP7 inhibition delays ubiquitin‐dependent lysophagy by attenuating ubiquitin accumulation and the recruitment of SQSTM1 and LC3 to damaged lysosomes, resulting in delayed clearance of damaged lysosomes and impaired restoration of lysosomal homeostasis. Created using FigureLabs (Certificate ID: FL‐PUB‐20260922‐Z99XNX).

Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.
