Analyzing Similarity Solution of Modified Fisher Equation

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2022
In this paper, we first examine the type of structure of the solutions to the modified form of a nonlinear Fisher’s reaction-diffusion equation. The existence of the traveling wave solution to the equation in the long term is observed by using dynamical ...

On Similarity Solutions to the Multidimensional Aggregation Equation [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Mathematical Analysis, 2011
We study similarity solutions to the multidimensional aggregation equation $u_t+\Div(uv)=0$, $v=-\nabla K*u$ with general power-law kernels $K(x)=|x|^α,α\in (2-d,2)$. We analyze the equation in different regimes of the parameter $α$. In the case when $α\in [4-d,2)$, we give a characterization all the "first kind" radially symmetric similarity solutions.

A Study of Singular Similarity Solutions to Laplace’s Equation with Dirichlet Boundary Conditions

open access: yesAppliedMath
The infinite series solution to the boundary-value problems of Laplace’s equation with discontinuous Dirichlet boundary conditions was found by using the basic method of separation of variables.

Study of Chemically Reactive Flow and Heat Transfer in the Presence of a Uniform Magnetic Field [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2016
The effects of chemical reaction, thermal stratification, Soret and Dufour numbers on magneto-hydrodynamic free convective heat and mass transfer of a viscous, incompressible, and electrically conducting fluid on a vertical stretching surface embedded in ...

On similarity solutions for non-Newtonian boundary layer flows

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2012
The boundary layer equations for non-Newtonian fluids are examined under the classical conditions of uniform flow past a semi in…finite flat plate. Using the similarity transformation, the system of partial differential equations are transformed into a ...

On Similarity Solutions and Interface Reactions for a Vector-Valued Stefan Problem

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis, 2007
In this paper first it is shown for several geometries that classical similarity solutions for particle growth exist if and only if the Stefan problem is well-posed in the sense of being mass conserving.

Investigation of the Time Fractional Higher-Dimensional Nonlinear Modified Equation of Wave Propagation

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In this article, we analyzed the time fractional higher-dimensional nonlinear modified model of wave propagation, namely the (3 + 1)-dimensional Benjamin–Bona–Mahony-type equation.

Cup‐Like Nuclei Is a Hallmark of DUX4/ERG Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and Reveals Cytoplasmic Mitochondria Accumulation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cup‐like nuclei are a distinctive morphological feature observed in certain cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). We provide evidence that they characterize DUX4/ERG ALL independently of IKZF1 deletion and reveal marked mitochondrial accumulation in this ALL subset.

On nonexistence of similarity solutions

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1988
Consider the semilinear parabolic equation \[ (1)\quad u_ t=\Delta u- u^ p,\quad x\in R^ N,\quad t>0, \] where \(N\geq 1 ...

Similarity Solutions for Slender Rivulets with Thermocapillarity [PDF]

open access: yesThe Quarterly Journal of Mechanics and Applied Mathematics, 2003
Summary: We use the lubrication approximation to investigate the steady flow of slender non-uniform rivulets of a viscous fluid on an inclined plane that is either heated or cooled relative to the surrounding atmosphere. Four non-isothermal situations in which thermocapillary effects play a significant role are considered.
