Cohomology of simple modules for algebraic groups
In this paper, we consider questions related to the study of the cohomology of simple and simply connected algebraic groups with coefficients in simple modules. There are various calculating methods for them. One of the effective methods is to study the

ON THE PRIME GRAPH OF SIMPLE GROUPS [PDF]
AbstractLet $G$ be a finite group, let ${\it\pi}(G)$ be the set of prime divisors of $|G|$ and let ${\rm\Gamma}(G)$ be the prime graph of $G$. This graph has vertex set ${\it\pi}(G)$, and two vertices $r$ and $s$ are adjacent if and only if $G$ contains an element of order $rs$.

The probability of generating a finite simple group [PDF]
We study the probability of generating a finite simple group, together with its generalisation PG,socG(d), the conditional probability of generating an almost simple finite group G by d elements, given that these elements generate G/ socG.

On localizations of quasi-simple groups with given countable center [PDF]
A group homomorphism i:H→G is a localization of H, if for every homomorphism φ:H→G there exists a unique endomorphism ψ:G→G such that iψ=φ (maps are acting on the right). Göbel and Trlifaj asked in [18, Problem 30.4(4), p.

Some properties of finite generalized-groups [PDF]
In this article, we discuss the concept of completely simple-semigroups, which serves as a natural extension of the group structures. These semigroups, also known as generalized-groups, provide an interesting generalization beyond the realm of the ...

Conjugate factorizations of finite groups [PDF]
In this paper we illustrate recent results about factorizations of finite groups into conjugate subgroups. The illustrated results are joint works with John Cannon, Dan Levy, Attila Mar'oti and Iulian I. Simion.

Infinite groups with fixed point properties [PDF]
We construct finitely generated groups with strong fixed point properties. Let Xac be the class of Hausdorff spaces of finite covering dimension which are mod–p acyclic for at least one prime p.

ON THE GENERATING GRAPH OF A SIMPLE GROUP [PDF]
The generating graph $\unicode[STIX]{x1D6E4}(H)$ of a finite group $H$ is the graph defined on the elements of $H$, with an edge between two vertices if and only if they generate $H$. We show that if $H$ is a sufficiently large simple group with $\unicode[STIX]{x1D6E4}(G)\cong \unicode[STIX]{x1D6E4}(H)$ for a finite group $G$, then $G\cong H$.

Prime order derangements in primitive permutation groups [PDF]
Let G be a transitive permutation group on a finite set Ω of size at least 2. An element of G is a derangement if it has no fixed points on Ω. Let r be a prime divisor of |Ω|.

On Huppert's conjecture for F_4(2) [PDF]
Let $G$ be a finite group and let $text{cd}(G)$ be the set of all complex irreducible character degrees of $G$. B. Huppert conjectured that if $H$ is a finite nonabelian simple group such that $text{cd}(G) =text{cd}(H)$, then $Gcong H times A$, where $A$
