Ultra‐Shallow Flat Heat Waves on Low Thermal Conductivity Flexible Polyimide Substrate for Millisecond Thermal Analysis of Materials and Bioelectronic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An electronic system is presented consisting of a silver thin‐film electrode on a polyimide substrate working both as a heating element and a resistive temperature sensor, generating millisecond heat pulses with very fast heating and cooling rates and a flat peak temperature with a tunable duration.

Weyl algebra modules [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2002
We investigate weight modules for finite and infinite Weyl algebras, classifying all such simple modules. We also study the representation type of the blocks of locally-finite weight module categories and describe indecomposable modules in tame blocks.

Extensions of simple modules for the Witt algebra [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The irreducible representations of the Witt algebra $W$ are completely known. A classification of the irreducible $U_ (W)$--modules was first established by Chang and later simplified by Strade. The aim of this article is to give a classification of the extensions of the simple $U_ (W)$--modules having $p$--character $ $ of height $-1,0,1$ and $p-1$

Simple and Low-Cost Shared-Aperture Antenna Module for 5G N78 and N257 Applications

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation
A simple and low-cost shared aperture antenna module for 5G N78 and N257 applications is proposed. This module integrates a microwave (MW) patch antenna and a millimeter wave (MMW) substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) slot antenna.

Mechanisms of De‐icing by Surface Rayleigh and Plate Lamb Acoustic Waves

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Ice accretion impacts daily life, renewable energy generation, maintenance, and security in industries and aeronautics. Acoustic waves (AW) are a promising method for ice removal, although de‐icing mechanisms require further investigation to optimize energy efficiency.

Bistable Mechanisms 3D Printing for Mechanically Programmable Vibration Control

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a 3D‐printed bistable mechanism integrated into tuned mass dampers (TMDs) for mechanically adaptive passive vibration suppression. Through optimized geometry, the bistable design provides adaptable vibration reduction across a broad range of scenarios, achieving effective vibration mitigation without complex controls or external ...
