CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Chemoresistance in bladder cancer: Macrophage recruitment associated with CXCL1, CXCL5 and CXCL8 expression is characteristic of Gemcitabine/Cisplatin (Gem/Cis) Non‐Responder tumors (right side) while Responder tumors did not show substantial tumor‐stromal crosstalk (left side). All biological icons are attributed to Bioicons: carcinoma, cancerous‐cell‐

A Simple Approach for Module Temperature and Power Prediction
In this work a mathematical approach to calculate solar panel temperature based on measured irradiance, temperature and wind speed is applied. With the calculated module temperature, the electrical solar module characteristics is determined.

RF Performance of Layer-Structured Broadband Passive Millimeter-Wave Imaging System
Low profile and simple configuration are advantageous for RF module in passive millimeter-wave imaging system. High sensitivity over broad operation bandwidth is also necessary to detect right information from weak signal.

Predicting Fluid Properties in the MUFITS Reservoir Simulator with User-Supplied Modules
We present a recent development of the MUFITS reservoir simulator aiming at modelling the transport of fluids whose properties and phase equilibria are calculated in a user-supplied external shared library.

Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

A module $M$ over a ring is called simple-separable if every simple submodule of $M$ is contained in a finitely generated direct summand of $M$. While a direct sum of any family of simple-separable modules is shown to be always simple-separable, we prove that a direct summand of a simple-separable module does not inherit the property, in general.

Graded simple modules and loop modules
Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for a $G$-graded simple module over a unital associative algebra, graded by an abelian group $G$, to be isomorphic to a loop module of a simple module, as well as for two such loop modules to be isomorphic to each other.

Enzymes of the 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase group catalyze the condensation of formyl‐CoA with aldehydes or ketones. Thus, by structural adaptation of active sites, practically any pharmaceutically and industrially important 2‐hydroxyacid could be biotechnologically synthesized. Combining crystal structure analysis, active site mutations and kinetic assays,

This study investigated a novel WST‐8‐based assay for evaluating d‐Amino acid oxidase (DAO) inhibitors. We confirmed its effectiveness using known inhibitors and found that uremic toxins possess relatively weak inhibitory activity compared to existing drugs.
