Alberto Caeiro’s philosophy without philosophy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013

Photonic‐Enabled Energy‐Efficient Transparent Neuromorphic Computing Devices: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Transparent photonic neuromorphic computing devices merge optics and brain‐inspired computing to overcome von Neumann bottlenecks with ultrafast, low‐energy processing. By exploiting transparent oxides, 2D materials, phase‐change materials, and hybrid heterostructures, these platforms enable photonic synapses, memory, and logic for see‐through edge ...

Tolstoyanism in the 21st Century: Revisiting the Philosophy of "Simple Life" in the Digital Age

open access: yesInternational Theory and Practice in Humanities and Social Sciences
This article explores the reexamination of Tolstoyanism's philosophy of “simple life” in the digital age and its intrinsic connection with contemporary minimalism from the perspectives of philosophy and sociology, through literature review and qualitative case study.

Entropy Decoding the Fundamental Law of Phase Competition in Glass Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We validate the integration of intermetallic and eutectic phases as initial phases for composition design. The phase competition mechanism in glass formation is quantitatively clarified based on the melting entropy of competing phases. Glass‐forming ability is modulated by tuning phase competition via the melting entropy of initial phases.

Education of courage: Plato’s Laches as the model of educational practice

open access: yesIXTLI, 2016
The difficulty involved in knowledge and its practicality is accentuated when to understand the world around us and to act better on it, is considered the relevance of the study of classical thinkers like Plato.

Alcune riflessioni sulla psicologia di Hegel [PDF]

open access: yesLaboratorio dell'ISPF, 2012
[Some reflections on Hegel’s psychology]. The confrontation with the psychology of his time, both under an empirical and under a rational point of view, convinces Hegel that a radical reform of this discipline, which had not been touched, in his view, by

RRAM Variability Harvesting for CIM‐Integrated TRNG

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a compute‐in‐memory‐compatible true random number generator that harvests intrinsic cycle‐to‐cycle variability from a 1T1R RRAM array. Parallel entropy extraction enables high‐throughput bit generation without dedicated circuits. This approach achieves NIST‐compliant randomness and low per‐bit energy, offering a scalable hardware

What is a philosophical competition?

open access: yesJournal of Philosophy in Schools, 2022
Many competitions call themselves philosophical but the question what makes them philosophical has received little attention so far. The reason might be that it seems to have a simple answer according to which a philosophical competition is a rivalry ...
