COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Limb Weight Varying Effect on EMG Record of Simple and Discriminative Reaction Time in Elderly Men
Objectives: The effect of variation in contraction force is one of the most important factors in the organization and execution of reaction time (RT) tasks that most of elderly people involved it when they became obese.

A software tool for simulating practical chemistry [PDF]
A software package has been written to allow a user to build and manipulate a simple chemistry experiment. Using a toolbox of equipment the apparatus can be interactively designed and the necessary chemicals added from a database.

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Quantum Diffusive Dynamics of Macromolecular Transitions
We study the role of quantum fluctuations of atomic nuclei in the real-time dynamics of non-equilibrium macro-molecular transitions. To this goal we introduce an extension of the Dominant Reaction Pathways (DRP) formalism, in which the quantum ...

The kinetics of the methanol synthesis on a copper catalyst: An experimental study [PDF]
The kinetics of the low pressure of methanol from feed gases containing solely CO and H2 were studied in an internally recycled gradientless reactor. As experimental accuracy impeded the application of high CO contents, the experimental range of mole ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Relative performance of the two hands in simple and choice reaction time tasks
There is evidence that the left hemisphere is more competent for motor control than the right hemisphere. This study investigated whether this hemispheric asymmetry is expressed in the latency/duration of sequential responses performed by the left and/or

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Simple visual reaction time in sickle cell disease patients of pediatric age group
Background: Reaction time (RT) test can be simple or choice or recognition type. RT test has been widely used in literature, but the changes seen, if any is not documented in pediatric age group of sickle cell patients.
