Additive Gaussian Process Regression for Predictive Design of High‐Performance, Printable Silicones
A chemistry‐aware design framework for tuning printable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for vat photopolymerization (VPP) is developed using additive Gaussian process (GP) modeling. Polymer network mechanics informs variable groupings, feasible formulation constraints, and interaction variables.

A novel simple shear apparatus with stacked steel laminations for fine grained soil
A new simple shear apparatus is invented for fine grained soil based on the existing designs. Some rectangular- stacked steel laminations are used for the new simple shear apparatus.

Ohta-Jasnow-Kawasaki Approximation for Nonconserved Coarsening under Shear
We analytically study coarsening dynamics in a system with nonconserved scalar order parameter, when a uniform time-independent shear flow is present.

Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Experimental Study on Cyclic Simple Shear Test of Coastal Tidal Soft Soil
Based on undrained cyclic simple shear tests conducted on coastal tidal soft soil under various conditions of cyclic stress ratios and moisture contents, this study investigated the influence of these factors on the dynamic properties of the soil.

How well do third-order aperture mass statistics separate E- and B-modes?
With 3rd-order statistics of gravitational shear it will be possible to extract valuable cosmological information from ongoing and future weak lensing surveys which is not contained in standard 2nd-order statistics, due to the non-Gaussianity of the ...

Near‐Field Electrospinning Micro‐Printhead Achieves Precise Control of Nanofiber Deposition
A micro‐printhead for near‐field electrospinning enables reproducible deposition of polymer nanofibers with diameters below 50 nm. Systematic parameter studies uncover the mechanisms linking operating conditions to fiber morphology, paving the way for precise and low‐cost nanoscale 3D manufacturing. As a high‐resolution, cost‐effective, and rapid ...

Monotonic direct simple shear tests on sand under multidirectional loading [PDF]
Stress–strain responses of Leighton Buzzard sand are investigated under bidirectional shear. The tests are conducted by using the variable direction dynamic cyclic simple shear (VDDCSS), which is manufactured by Global Digital Systems (GDS) Instruments ...
