We describe the design and implementation of a program called sim to measure similarity between two C computer programs. It is useful for detecting plagiarism among a large set of homework programs. This software is part of a project to construct tools to assist the teaching of computer science.

One of the growing needs related to systems of Natural Language Processing (NLP) is that such systems must be able to perform enriched textual inferences. We argue that one reason for the current limitation of the inferences generated by these systems is that---for the most part---they are based on the characteristics of the things represented by names,

A large body of work asserts that interactive tabletops are well suited for group work, and numerous studies have examined these devices in educational contexts. However, few of the described systems support simulations for collaborative learning, and none of them explicitly address immersion.
