Prediction of the Linear and Nonlinear Optical Properties of a Schiff Base Derivatives via DFT
In this work, the density functional theory (DFT) calculation combined with a polarizable continuum model (PCM) was used to study the solvent media effects on the electrical and geometrical behaviors of the Schiff-base derivative, (E)-4-[({4-[(pyridin-2 ...

Modelling old‐age retirement: An adaptive multi‐outcome LAD‐lasso regression approach
Abstract Using unique administrative register data, we investigate old‐age retirement under the statutory pension scheme in Finland. The analysis is based on multi‐outcome modelling of pensions and working lives together with a range of explanatory variables.

Parental education and the risk of cerebral palsy for children: an evaluation of causality
Aim To explore whether increasing parental education has a causal effect on risk of cerebral palsy (CP) in the child, or whether unobserved confounding is a more likely explanation. Method We used data from Norwegian registries on approximately 1.5 million children born between 1967 and 2011.

Including rewiring in the estimation of the robustness of mutualistic networks
Abstract Species are entangled within communities by their interactions in such a manner that their local extinction may unchain coextinction cascades and impact community dynamics and stability. Despite increasing attention, simulation models to estimate the robustness of interaction networks largely neglect the important role of interaction rewiring,
