A model for reactive porous transport during re-wetting of hardened concrete
A mathematical model is developed that captures the transport of liquid water in hardened concrete, as well as the chemical reactions that occur between the imbibed water and the residual calcium silicate compounds residing in the porous concrete matrix.

Effect of the acid environment on the electrochemical behaviour of 1045 steel reinforced cement [PDF]
External corrosion is one of the most common causes of oilwell casing failure. Hostile environments can be due to acidizing treatments. Although it is common to add corrosion inhibitors and oxygen scavengers in acidic solutions to control external ...

2D Magnetic and Topological Quantum Materials and Devices for Ultralow Power Spintronics
2D magnets and topological quantum materials enable ultralow‐power spintronics by combining robust magnetic order with symmetry‐protected, Berry‐curvature‐driven transport. Fundamentals of 2D anisotropy and spin‐orbit‐coupling induced band inversion are linked to scalable growth and vdW stacking.

Diffusion-reaction model for alkali-silica reaction in concrete [PDF]
A new diffusion-reaction model for the potentially deleterious Alkali-Silica Reaction (ASR) process in concrete is presented. The model involves three coupled diffusion processes, two in-goingand one out-goingfrom the aggregate viewpoint. Alkali (Na+ and

Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.
