The atomic simulation environment-a Python library for working with atoms.

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Condensed Matter, 2017
The atomic simulation environment (ASE) is a software package written in the Python programming language with the aim of setting up, steering, and analyzing atomistic simulations. In ASE, tasks are fully scripted in Python.

Simulation in clinical education: a reflective and critical account [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Simulation. A complex tool employed to immerse learners in a reality created specifically to elicit actions, behaviours and thought processes which can then be discussed with peers and reflected upon by the learner immediately and at leisure. This was my

Population Pharmacokinetics of Bepirovirsen in Healthy Participants and Participants with Chronic Hepatitis B Virus Infection: Results from Phase 1, 2a, and 2b Studies

open access: yesInfectious Diseases and Therapy
Introduction Bepirovirsen is a novel antisense oligonucleotide in development for chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection therapy. Understanding the impact that clinical characteristics may have on bepirovirsen exposure is important for determining ...

A generic framework for the physiologically‐based pharmacokinetic platform qualification of PK‐Sim and its application to predicting cytochrome P450 3A4–mediated drug–drug interactions

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics & Systems Pharmacology, 2021
The success of applications of physiologically‐based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling in drug development and drug labeling has triggered regulatory agencies to demand rigorous demonstration of the predictive capability of the specific PBPK platform for a

Minimization of Büchi Automata using Fair Simulation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
We present an algorithm, which reduces the size of B\"uchi automata using fair simulation. Its time complexity is $\mathcal{O}(|Q|^4 \cdot |\Delta|^2)$, the space complexity is $\mathcal{O}(|Q| \cdot |\Delta|)$. Simulation is a common approach for minimizing $\omega$-automata such as B\"uchi automata.

CloudSim Express: A Novel Framework for Rapid Low Code Simulation of Cloud Computing Environments [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Cloud computing environment simulators enable cost-effective experimentation of novel infrastructure designs and management approaches by avoiding significant costs incurred from repetitive deployments in real Cloud platforms. However, widely used Cloud environment simulators compromise on usability due to complexities in design and configuration ...

Simulation Typology and Termination Risks [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
The goal of the article is to explore what is the most probable type of simulation in which humanity lives (if any) and how this affects simulation termination risks. We firstly explore the question of what kind of simulation in which humanity is most likely located based on pure theoretical reasoning. We suggest a new patch to the classical simulation

Analysis and simulation of a fair queueing algorithm

open access: yesConference on Applications, Technologies, Architectures, and Protocols for Computer Communication, 1989
We discuss gateway queueing algorithms and their role in controlling congestion in datagram networks. A fair queueing algorithm, based on an earlier suggestion by Nagle, is proposed.

Dynamic Co-Simulation Methods for Combined Transmission-Distribution System and Integration Time Step Impact on Convergence [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
Combined Transmission and Distribution Systems (CoTDS) simulation for power systems requires development of algorithms and software that are numerically stable and at the same time accurately simulate dynamic events that can occur in practical systems.
