Coronary hemodynamic simulation study
Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part H: Journal of Engineering in MedicineIn this paper, a two-way fluid-structure coupling model is developed to simulate and analyze the hemodynamic process based on dynamic coronary angiography, and examine the influence of different hemodynamic parameters on coronary arteries in typical coronary stenosis lesions.

Simulation study of reaction fronts
Physical Review A, 1990Using random walkers on a square lattice we have simulated a diffusion-reaction process A+B\ensuremath{\rightarrow}C; initially, the reactants are segregated on either side of a straight boundary. Quantities studied include the position and width of the reaction front and the position-dependent reaction rates and densities of the reactants. Our results

SIMULATION STUDY OF HIERARCHICAL REGRESSION
Statistics in Medicine, 1996Hierarchical regression - which attempts to improve standard regression estimates by adding a second-stage 'prior' regression to an ordinary model - provides a practical approach to evaluating multiple exposures. We present here a simulation study of logistic regression in which we compare hierarchical regression fitted by a two-stage procedure to ...

Dual-energy mammography: simulation studies
Physics in Medicine and Biology, 2006This paper presents a mammography simulator and demonstrates its applicability in feasibility studies in dual-energy (DE) subtraction mammography. This mammography simulator is an evolution of a previously presented x-ray imaging simulation system, which has been extended with new functionalities that are specific for DE simulations.

RULES VERSUS DISCRETION: A SIMULATION STUDY
The Journal of Finance, 1973The "rules versus discretion" debate has continued sporadically for some years now. Policy recommendations still are made because of the alleged desirability of some rules, and criticism periodically is leveled at the Federal Reserve because of deviations of monetary aggregates from guidelines that have been proposed.

Studying magneto‐convection by numerical simulation
Astronomische Nachrichten, 2003AbstractFollowing a brief overview of the two main approaches to investigate the interaction between magnetic fields and convective flows near the solar surface layers by numerical simulation, namely idealized model problems and ‘realistic’ large‐eddy simulations, we present first results obtained with a newly developed MHD code.

Simulation Study of Harmonic Oscillators
IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1982In the last few years, the operating modes of Gunn oscillators for frequencies above 60 GHz have been discussed controversially. In this context, a general theoretical circuit model for oscillators operating in the fundamental and in the second-harmonic modes is studied.

The history of the robot as a concept and as a fact is indicated, and the current linguistic approach to robotology discussed. The problem of designing a robot-controller is approached by taking a simplified, computer-simulated, model of a robot in an environment, and writing programs to enable the robot to move around its environment in a reasonably ...
