The optimal prediction simultaneous equation model selection [PDF]

open access: yes
Notes on unsolved problems The standard linear simultaneous equation model is considered. a) The problem is to compare analytically the estimated reduced (unrestricted and derived) and the structural form of SEM from prediction point of view (for ...

Dissolution dynamic nuclear polarization NMR studies of enzyme kinetics: Setting up differential equations for fitting to spectral time courses

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Open, 2019
: Dissolution dynamic nuclear polarization (dDNP) provides strikingly increased sensitivity for detecting NMR-receptive nuclei in molecules that are substrates of enzymes and membrane transport proteins.

Early‐life high‐fat diet exposure increases Achilles tendon stiffness and induces transcriptomic alterations

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

Lenses in Skew Brownian Flow

open access: yes, 2005
We consider a stochastic flow in which individual particles follow skew Brownian motions, with each one of these processes driven by the same Brownian motion.

Derivation and Application of a New Transmission Loss Formula for Power System Economic Dispatch

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
The expression and calculation of transmission loss (TL) play key roles for solving the power system economic dispatch (ED) problem. ED including TL must compute the total TL and incremental transmission loss (ITL) by executing power flow equations ...

Sudden anaerobization in Amphibacillus xylanus increases intracellular labile ferrous iron and inhibits cell growth

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Abruptly changing from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (sudden anaerobization) induced growth inhibition and a significant increase in intracellular labile ferrous iron in the aerotolerant anaerobe Amphibacillus xylanus. We found that free flavins mediate efficient electron transfer from NADH to ferric iron under anaerobic conditions, suggesting that ...

Dysonian dynamics of the Ginibre ensemble

open access: yes, 2014
We study the time evolution of Ginibre matrices whose elements undergo Brownian motion. The non-Hermitian character of the Ginibre ensemble binds the dynamics of eigenvalues to the evolution of eigenvectors in a non-trivial way, leading to a system of ...

Bifurcation of Periodic Solutions of the Mackey– Glass Equation

open access: yesМоделирование и анализ информационных систем, 2016
We study the bifurcation of the equilibrium states of periodic solutions for the Mackey– Glass equation. This equation is considered as a mathematical model of changes in the density of white blood cells.
