Bi-Static Simultaneous Transmit And Receive (STAR) Antenna Array System
2019 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and USNC-URSI Radio Science Meeting, 2019Bi-static, dual-polarized antenna array subsystem with high isolation between transmitting (TX) and receiving (RX) ports is proposed. Each array consists of eight active patch antenna elements built on a single layer substrate. Microstrip and substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) feed networks are used to excite broadside and scanned beams.

Phased Array Antenna for Bi-Static Simultaneous Transmit and Receive (STAR) system
2020 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and North American Radio Science Meeting, 2020Bi-static simultaneous transmit and receive shared phased array aperture with wide-angle beam steering is discussed. Antenna system works over a narrow frequency range in K-band and has $10\times 10$ circularly polarized stacked-patch antenna elements distributed in two 10×5 apertures for transmit and receive.

Wideband antenna array for Simultaneous Transmit and Receive (STAR) applications
2014 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium (APSURSI), 2014A wideband antenna array for Simultaneous Transmit and Receive (STAR) applications is presented. The design is comprised of a ring array of TEM horns, and a monocone at the array's center. When the array is phased with the first order circular mode, it is isolated from the monocone. Thus, the array may be used in reception while the monocone is used in

Ultra-wideband circularly-polarized simultaneous transmit and receive (STAR) antenna system
2015 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting, 2015This paper presents a novel circularly-polarized simultaneous transmit and receive (STAR) monostatic antenna system based on the four-arm spiral-helix antenna. The four-arm spiral is configured such that two arms are used for transmitting and the other two arms for receiving. Microstrip feeds with impedance transformers are used to feed the two two-arm

On wideband simultaneous transmit and receive (STAR) with a single aperture
2016 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation (APSURSI), 2016Multi-arm spiral antennas have not only ability to radiate multiple frequency independent modes [1,2], but also inherent ability to act as monostatic co-channel simultaneous transmit and receive (STAR) apertures. Four-arm spirals are herein used for demonstrating this capability.

Simultaneous Transmit and Receive operation requires a high amount of transmit-to-receive isolation in order to avoid self-interference. This isolation is best achieved by utilizing multiple cancellation techniques. The combination of adaptive multiple-input multiple-output spatial cancellation with a high-isolation antenna and RF canceller produces a ...

Phased Array Antenna for Bi-Static Simultaneous Transmit and Receive (STAR) Systems
2019 IEEE International Symposium on Phased Array System & Technology (PAST), 2019This paper discusses a bistatic Ku-band simultaneously transmitting and receiving (STAR) fixed beams array antenna system with high isolation between Tx and Rx elements. Arrays have eight active dual-pol patch antenna elements and two passive elements on either ends of the array.

Wideband scanning array of spiral antennas for simultaneous transmit and receive (STAR)
2017 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation & USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting, 2017We present a low profile (λ LOW /8) wideband slot spiral antenna array with high transmit/receive (Tx/Rx) isolation and scanning capability for STAR systems. To our knowledge, this is the first wideband STAR array with circular polarization and scanning capability.
