Network Segregation and Integration Changes in Healthy Aging: Evidence From EEG Subbands During the Visual Short-Term Memory Binding Task. [PDF]
We showed that network architecture changes during healthy aging are more effective in middle‐aged individuals, while this effectiveness appears to vanish or show compensatory mechanisms in elderly people. These changes were related to cognitive domain scores.

Predictions of southern migration timing in coastal sharks under future ocean warming. [PDF]
Abstract Projected redistribution of marine species due to ocean warming may undermine current conservation efforts. Yet, there have been few studies on how ocean warming may alter migration timing. Across 5 years of acoustic telemetry data (2018–2022), we determined environmental drivers of southward migration timing for 6 migratory shark species from

Circadian rhythms of hosts and their gut microbiomes: Implications for animal physiology and ecology
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Daily light–dark cycles shape the circadian physiology and behaviour of nearly all organisms, with variation in circadian phenotypes having cascading effects on individual fitness, species interactions and species co‐evolution.

We characterized the composition and the temporal variations of the arthropods community visiting female and male inflorescences of the palm Phytelephas aequatorialis. We report 59 morphospecies dominated by three beetle families: Staphylinidae, Nitidulidae, and Curculionidae and 16 pollinator candidates among which nine visited both inflorescence ...

Embedded Synchronizing Internet Clocks (E-SIC) without dedicated hardware
E-SIC is an algorithm designed to synchronize the clocks of embedded controllers through a Local Area Network (LAN) using 802.11 (WI-FI) technology. It’s based on the SIC algorithm that synchronizes frequency between the clocks by taking advantage of the
