Optical sine transformation

Applied Optics, 1987
The phase mask distribution of optical sine transformation (OST) has been calculated according to the optical general transformation theory. To avoid the diffraction loss of the phase mask, the optical waveguide method is used. Computation shows that the optical sine transformation is possible with only one phase mask, i.e., one-half of a cylindrical ...

SINEs

Current Biology, 1991
SINEs with internal promoters for RNA polymerase III are ubiquitous in the genomes of the animal kingdom, including invertebrates. Although the human Alu family, and related families, originates from 7SL RNA, all other SINEs originate from tRNA. SINEs have been amplified many times, altered in genomic organization and fixed in the population at certain

Generalized sine condition

Applied Optics, 2015
The classic Abbe sine condition relates pupil distortion to aberrations with linear field dependence such as coma. This paper provides a fully generalized form of the sine condition that does not use any symmetry. It accurately predicts the change in aberration in the presence of field independent and pupil aberrations.

EEC syndrome sine sine?

Clinical Genetics, 1988
We report a family with oligosymptomatic EEC syndrome. Whereas the mother had most symptoms of this syndrome, one son presented a minimal ectrodactyly and a highly arched palate and one daughter showed only a unilateral stiff thumb. The variability of this syndrome is discussed.
