Mortgagees' Duty of Care in Singapore: Staying the Course

open access: yes, 2009
Whilst mortgagees do not owe mortgagors any general duty of care, they may come under specific duties of care, such as the duty to take reasonable steps to obtain the market price when they exercise their power of sale.

IKKβ and USP28 Regulate HEY1 Stability to Promote Cancer Stemness and Immune Evasion in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The uncovered IKKβ‐USP28‐HEY1 axis fuels cancer stemness and immune evasion in hepatocellular carcinoma. USP28 deubiquitinates HEY1 upon IKKβ‐mediated phosphorylation, conferring PD‐1/PD‐L1 blockade resistance. Pharmacological inhibition of USP28 sensitizes resistant tumors to anti‐PD‐1 immunotherapy, revealing a promising therapeutic strategy ...

Giant Bulk Photovoltaic Effect in Two‐Dimensional Topological Ferroelectric Semimetal

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Ferroelectric (FE) metals have attracted growing interest because they combine ferroelectricity with metallic behavior and enable polarization‐controlled band topology near the Fermi level. However, the number of known ferroelectric metals is still limited.

Butterworths' Annotated Statutes of Singapore: Criminal Law

open access: yes, 2001
WHAT are statute annotations about? There are, of course, the venerable Halsbury's Statutes of England, and the great Indian works - Sarkar on Evidence and Ratanlal on Crimes, both of which are well into double digit editions. That they served a valuable

Near‐Unity Selectivity Inversion Between CO2 Electroreduction and H2 Evolution via Atomic Coordination Editing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Atomic coordination editing functions as an on/off switch that toggles single‐atom catalysts between CO2 electroreduction and hydrogen evolution. ABSTRACT Precise atomic coordination editing of single‐atom catalysts (SACs) provides an effective strategy to tune their electronic structures and catalytic selectivity. Yet, achieving near‐unity selectivity

Construction of Sabatier Volcanoes for CO2 Hydrogenation to C1‐2 Oxygenates Using Data‐Efficient Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A new data‐efficient framework combining DFT calculations, a neural network model, and automated graph analysis of catalytic reaction networks is proposed and applied to CO2 hydrogenation on transition metal nanoparticles. The analysis shows how efficient C2 oxygenate production requires a balance between CHx formation, C–C coupling, protonation, and ...

STUDY ON ROAD-SIDE CARBON DIOXIDE CONCENTRATION IN AN INTEGRATED BUSINESS PARK IN SINGAPORE

open access: yesDimensi: Journal of Architecture and Built Environment, 2008
As an industrialized country at the crossroads of Asian shipping lanes, Singapore is not spared from the threat of increasing CO2 emissions. In an effort to document the existence of this phenomenon, field measurements were conducted to study and ...

Molecular Mobility of N‐Acetylgalactosamine‐Modified Cyclodextrins on a Polyrotaxane for Highly Efficient Liver Targeting of Antibody Chimeras and Genome‐Editing Ribonucleoproteins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Monovalent N‐acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc)‐modified polyrotaxane enables efficient liver targeting by utilizing ligand mobility. The sliding and rotating cyclic components i.e., cyclodextrin in the polyrotaxane dynamically cluster GalNAc moieties, thereby mimicking trivalent interactions with asialoglycoprotein receptors.
