Economic Fundamentals and Managed Floating Exchange Rate Regime in Singapore [PDF]

open access: yes
¡°Pegging the Singapore dollar to a basket of currencies instead of a fixed rate to the US dollar and having a transparent system were claimed by the government of Singapore to have enabled the country to weather the Asian financial crisis better.

Identification of PKN2 and MOB4 as Coordinators of Collective Cell Migration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Through a genetic screen, PKN2 and MOB4 are identified as two proteins regulating the healing of an epithelial model wound. PKN2 promotes collective cell migration by maintaining the cohesion of cell monolayers from their lateral junctions, whereas MOB4 restrains collective cell migration and provides a lamellipodial cue for front‐rear polarity in ...

Estimates of the long-run growth rate of Singapore with a CES production function [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper estimates with the Bayesian methods a CES production function for Singapore for 1960-2009. It is found that the elasticity of substitution is 0.6, technical progress is labour augmenting and the steady state growth rate of Singapore is about 1.

Reconstructed Copper Compound by Cerium Leaching for Enhanced Electrochemical CO2‐to‐Ethylene Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A Ce‐incorporated Cu oxide can achieve prominent selective CO2‐to‐ethylene performance by reconstructing to oxygen‐contained Cu with an optimized Cu0/(Cu++Cu2+) ratio and electronic structure through Ce leaching and in situ reduction. The interactions between the reconstructed structure and leached Ce improve the CO2‐to‐ethylene by enhancing water ...

Regulating Tumor Metabolic Reprogramming with Biomimetic Co‐Delivery of Simvastatin and Kynureninase for Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
After the intravenous injection of biomimetic and pH/ROS‐responsive PTSK@CRM, the nanoparticles can be accumulated in tumors and release Sim and KYNase to inhibit the tumor growth, regulate the metabolism of cholesterol and Kyn, and reverse the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment.

Stabilized Ion Selectivity Corrects Activation Drift in Kalium Channelrhodopsins

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
As newly emerged optogenetic tools, potassium channelrhodopsins (KCRs) can drift from inhibition to activation during illumination as K⁺ selectivity declines. It is shown that both the absolute K⁺/Na⁺ permeability ratio and its stability over time govern this drift, identify KCR1‐C29D as a reliably inhibitory variant, and outline design principles for ...

IGZO‐Based First Spike Timing Tactile Encoders and Coupling‐Enhanced Transistor Synapses for Efficient Spiking Neural Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Here, a bioinspired light‐accelerated neuromorphic system that seamlessly links tactile sensing, first‐spike‐timing (FST) encoding, and light–electric synaptic learning. Pressure stimuli trigger FST spikes in dual‐gate PDTFTs, while GaOx/IGZO hetero‐synapses exhibit enhanced memory under optical–electrical co‐activation, enabling spiking neural ...
