Seeded 2D epitaxy of large-area single-crystal films of the van der Waals semiconductor 2H MoTe2

Science, 2021
Seeding 2D crystals Small, single crystals are often used to direct the growth of larger, bulk single crystals. Xu et al. modified these methods to grow single-crystal films of a two-dimensional (2D) semiconductor, 2H molybdenum ditelluride (2H MoTe2 ...

Photochemical Single-Crystal-to-Single-Crystal Transformations

Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals Science and Technology. Section A. Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals, 1998
Abstract Single-crystal-to-single-crystal reactions of a series of (E)-2,6-di-tert−butyl-4-[2-(4-methylphenyl)-ethenyl]pyrylium salts have been investigated using long wavelength irradiation conditions. The dimerization of the reactive olefins in the solid state was followed by X-ray crystallography.

Topochemical single-crystal-to-single-crystal photodimerization

Chemical Physics Letters, 1980
Abstract The topochemical and topotactic solid-state photodimerization of 2-benzyl-5-benzylidenecyclopentanone is shown to be single-crystal-to-single-crystal, with the cell parameters of the monomer and dimer being very nearly identical (the maximum change being a contraction of 0.7% along c).

Photochemical Single-Crystal-To-Single-Crystal Dimerizations and Polymerizations

Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals Science and Technology. Section A. Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals, 2001
Abstract Single-crystal-to-single-crystal reactions of a series of bifunctional styrylyl]pyrylium salts have been investigated using long wavelength irradiation conditions. The dimerization of the reactive olefins in the solid state was followed by X-ray crystallography.

The Emergence of Organic Single Crystal Electronics.

Angewandte Chemie, 2020
Organic semiconducting single crystals are ideal candidates both for fundamental and application-oriented researches due to their advantages of free grain boundaries, few defects, minimal traps and impurities as well as low-temperature processability ...
