Single-Crystal-to-Single-Crystal Transformation of Diolefin Derivatives in Nanocrystals
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2002Topochemical [2 + 2] cycloaddition polymerization of methyl p-phenylenediacrylate and 2,5-distyrylpyridine in nanocrystals, prepared by the reprecipitation method, were investigated in comparison with those in bulk crystals. The bulk single crystals, larger than 1 mum in size, broke into microcrystals with variety of size and shape in the course of ...

Superlong Single-Crystal Metal-Organic Framework Nanotubes.
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2018Nanotubes have attracted great attention. Here, we report the fabrication of the first single-crystal metal-organic framework (MOF) nanotubes. Superlong single-crystal cobalt-organic framework (Co-MOF) nanotubes, which have a diameter of ∼70 nm and ...

Thermally induced single crystal to single crystal transformation leading to polymorphism
Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular and Biomolecular Spectroscopy, 2014The robust complex [La(1,10-phen)2(NO3)3] (1,10-phen=1,10-phenanthroline) exhibits thermally induced single crystal to single crystal transformation from one polymorphic phase to another. The complex crystallizes in monoclinic C2/c space group with C2 molecular symmetry at 293K while at 100K it shows P21/c space group with C1 molecular symmetry ...

Anisotropic emission in single crystal sputtering measurements on HCP single crystals
Radiation Effects, 1973The ejection characteristics of single crystals of zinc, magnesium (hcp) and aluminum (fcc) were determined by bombarding various crystal surfaces with a beam of inert gas ions (Xe/sup +/, Ar/sup +/ and Ne/sup +/). The energy of the bombarding ions varied between 10 and 40 keV.
