Partially Linear Generalized Single Index Models for Functional Data (PLGSIMF)
Single-index models are potentially important tools for multivariate non-parametric regression analysis. They generalize linear regression models by replacing the linear combination α0⊤X with a non-parametric component η0α0⊤X, where η0(·) is an unknown ...

SiAM: A Hybrid of Single Index Models and Additive Models. [PDF]
While popular, single index models and additive models have potential limitations, a fact that leads us to propose SiAM, a novel hybrid combination of these two models. We first address model identifiability under general assumptions. The result is of independent interest.

Variable selection for the single-index model [PDF]
We consider variable selection in the single-index model. We prove that the popular leave-m-out crossvalidation method has different behaviour in the single-index model from that in linear regression models or nonparametric regression models. A new consistent variable selection method, called separated crossvalidation, is proposed.

Empirical Likelihood for Partially Linear Single-Index Models under Negatively Associated Errors
In this paper, the authors consider the application of the blockwise empirical likelihood method to the partially linear single-index model when the errors are negatively associated, which often exist in sequentially collected economic data.

A bootstrap test for single index models [PDF]
Single index models are frequently used in econometrics and biometrics. Logit and Probit models arc special cases with fixed link functions. In this paper we consider a bootstrap specification test that detects nonparametric deviations of the link function.

Checking Heteroscedasticity in Partially Linear Single-Index Models Using Pairwise Distance
In this article, a new test is proposed for partially linear single-index models (PLSIM) based on the pairwise distances of the sample points, to test heteroscedasticity.
