Single-Phase Stepped-Wave Inverter

The paper presents experimental results of the synthesized single-phase stepped-voltage waveforms. The inverter system uses 3-level pulse-width modulated inverters in cascade. Microprocessor is used to generate the gate-trigger signals of thyristors. The harmonic components of the output waveform are compared with the theoretical results.
