Measurement-Based Stiff Equation Methodology for Single Phase Transformer Inrush Current Computations

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
The present paper describes the research on the mechanism of inrush current formation in a modern single-phase transformer, in which the insulation system must withstand the stresses arising during these transient states.

THE SINGLE-PHASE TRANSFORMER AS A SOURSE OF CURRENT HARMONICS

open access: yesDynamics of Systems, Mechanisms and Machines, 2017
The aim of the paper is to calculate the maximum magnetic induction value of the transformer's core which provides a specified value of current distortion. To solve this problem, an experimental study was made on the dependence of the magnetic induction on Total Harmonic Distortion for current.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

THE RESEARCH ON SPECIAL ELECTRONIC POWER TRANSFORMER

open access: yesElectrica, 2009
In many circumstances, three-phase AC power supply is not always the best choice for utility applications. In fact, there is a rating of three-phase to single-phase, three-phase to dual-phase and three-phase to multiphase transformers being in operation ...

Analysis of Ferroresonance Phenomenon in 22 kV Distribution System with a Photovoltaic Source by PSCAD/EMTDC

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
Overvoltage and overcurrent in the middle voltage (MV) 22 kV and low voltage (LV) 0.4 kV distribution network with photovoltaic (PV) rooftop system of the Provincial Electricity Authority of Thailand (PEA) have been investigated in order to show that ...

Connection and Control Strategy of PV Converter Integrated into Railway Traction Power Supply System

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
In order to supply the single-phase locomotive load and mitigate the negative sequence current, this paper develops a V/V transformer-based connection and control strategy of three-phase photovoltaic (PV) converters integrated into railway traction power

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.

A novel three-phase UPS system with a single-phase resonant HF link [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
This paper presents a new three-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system based on a single-phase resonant high frequency (HF) link and a single-phase transformer.

Identification of Transformer Parameters Using Dandelion Algorithm

open access: yesApplied System Innovation
Researchers tackled the challenge of finding the right parameters for a transformer-equivalent circuit. They achieved this by minimizing the difference between actual measurements (currents, powers, secondary voltage) during a transformer load test and ...

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...
