Solid-state Raman quantum memory in whispering gallery mode resonators: signal-to-noise ratio
The possibility of implementation of optical quantum memory via off-resonant Raman absorption and emission of single-photon pulses in rare-earth-ion-doped crystals is theoretically analysed taking into account signal-to-noise ratio at the output of the ...

Infrared Single-Photon Detector based on Silicon Two-Photon Absorption
We propose a scheme for infrared single-photon detection based on two-photon absorption at room-temperature in Si avalanche photodiodes, where the detected photon's energy is lower than the bandgap and the energy difference is complemented by a pump field.

Atomic‐Scale Light Coupling Control in Ultrathin Photonic Membranes
Ultrathin photonic nanomembranes provide atomic‐scale control over the coupling between incident light and high‐Q photonic modes, enabling angstrom‐level resonance tuning and strong field confinement. When integrated with TMD monolayers, they further yield enhanced light–matter interactions, offering a versatile platform for advancing quantum photonics,

A novel approach for the design of functional semiconductors is presented, which utilizes the excellent optoelectronic properties of layered hybrid perovskites and the possibility to introduce a molecular photoswitch as the organic spacer. This concept is successfully demonstrated on a coumarin‐based system with the possibility to change the bandgap ...

Metamaterial coherent plasmonic absorption with a single photon
With a plasmonic metamaterial absorber of sub-wavelength thickness we demonstrated that coherent absorption can be observed even with a single photon that could be coupled with nearly 100% probability into a localized plasmon.

Herein, an RBC membrane‐derived nanoparticle (CMN‐ICG) is engineered to efficiently deliver a sonosensitizing agent, indocyanine green (ICG), for sonotherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). CMN‐ICG exhibits excellent cytocompatibility, significantly enhances hepatocyte uptake, and produces excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) upon ultrasound ...

Conventional unstable electron transport layers (ETLs) limit self‐powered organic sensors. This work resolves this by developing a n‐type self‐assembled monolayer (SAM), “3‐PAPh”. This SAM forms a chemically stable and structurally ordered interface that fundamentally suppresses defect formation.

Two-photon absorption of Tl1-xIn1-xSnxSe2 nanocrystallites
Novel materials for the infrared two-photon absorption — Tl1-xIn1-xSnxSe2 single crystals (x = 0.1,0.2) were grown. Two-photon absorption (TPA) was studied at CO2 laser wave-length 9.4μm with pulse duration 1μs.

A 3D nanowire‐network SERS substrate with robust adhesion is developed, featuring pronounced z‐direction optical activity, ultralow detection limit (1.5 × 10−13 M), and excellent signal uniformity (RSD < 10%). Enabled by enhanced light scattering, increased optical density of states, and structural reinforcement, the substrate demonstrates stable, high‐

Through Diamond Robust Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy
Thin film diamond growth offers a unique opportunity for Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS); the encapsulation of plasmonic nanostructures within a transparent, chemically stable, and physically robust coating. The diamond acts as both a window and protective layer, enabling illumination of the plasmonic nanostructures through the diamond ...
