Impact of Hardware Impairment on the Uplink SIMO Cooperative NOMA With Selection Relay Under Imperfect CSI

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has emerged as a promising solution for enabling massive connectivity in future wireless networks. A great deal of research has extensively considered the implementation of the NOMA with other technologies such as ...

Robust Null Broadening Beamforming Based on Covariance Matrix Reconstruction via Virtual Interference Sources

open access: yesSensors, 2020
When jammers move rapidly or an antenna platform travels at high speed, interference signals may move out of the null width in the array beampattern. Consequently, the interference suppression performance can be significantly degraded.

Successive Decode-and-Forward Relaying With Privacy-Aware Interference Suppression

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Successive relaying holds the promise of achieving spatial diversity gain for single-antenna users while recovering the multiplexing loss due to the half-duplex relaying in B5G/6G.

Achievable Degrees of Freedom for the Two-Cell Two-Hop MIMO Interference Channel With Half-Duplex Relays

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2017
We consider the two-cell two-hop multiple-input-multiple-output interference channel with half-duplex relays, where each source group having M single antenna users communicates with the corresponding destination with M antennas via two relays, each ...

Computationally Efficient Blind Source Separation-Based MIMO-PA Linearization

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper presents a Cross-Interference Reduction Digital predistortion (CIR-DPD) for a multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO) system. The proposed method cancels the detrimental effect of crosstalk due to different MIMO branches and the antenna ...

Functional Materials for Environmental Energy Harvesting in Smart Agriculture via Triboelectric Nanogenerators

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review explores functional and responsive materials for triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) in sustainable smart agriculture. It examines how particulate contamination and dirt affect charge transfer and efficiency. Environmental challenges and strategies to enhance durability and responsiveness are outlined, including active functional layers ...

Rate-splitting multiple access for downlink communication systems: bridging, generalizing, and outperforming SDMA and NOMA

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2018
Space-division multiple access (SDMA) utilizes linear precoding to separate users in the spatial domain and relies on fully treating any residual multi-user interference as noise. Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) uses linearly precoded superposition

Thickness‐Dependent Skyrmion Evolution in Fe3GeTe2 During Magnetization Reversal

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Thickness‐ and field‐dependent magnetic domain behavior in 2D van der Waals Fe3GeTe2 is studied using Lorentz TEM and micromagnetic simulations. A patch‐like domain phase evolves from skyrmions during magnetization reversal, and step edges between thickness regions act as pinning sites.

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

Remorphable Architectures: Reprogramming Global Bistability through Locally Bistable Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Local bistable reconfiguration in mechanical metamaterials is leveraged in globally bistable architectures to enable in situ reprogrammable transition pathways through state flip of individual building blocks. The local‐to‐global correspondence of instabilities empowers soft robotic systems with on‐demand morphing traits, as well as aerospace ...
