A Low Temperature Single Crystal X-Ray Diffraction Technique
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1949A low temperature x-ray diffraction technique, especially suitable to single crystal work, is described. Crystals are grown in glass capillaries on the x-ray camera. Position and orientation are determined with the aid of a polarizing microscope on the apparatus.

γ-Alumina: a single-crystal X-ray diffraction study
Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2006The structure of gamma-alumina (Al21+1/3square2+2/3O32) crystals obtained as a product of a corrosion reaction between beta-sialon and steel was refined in the space group Fd3m. The oxygen sublattice is fully occupied. The refined occupancy parameters are 0.83 (3), 0.818 (13), 0.066 (14) and 0.044 (18) for Al ions in 8a, 16d, 16c and 48f positions ...

Ni2Sn2Zn from single-crystal X-ray diffraction
Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2012Dinickel ditin zinc, Ni2Sn2Zn, crystallizes in the cubic space group Pm\overline{3}m, with a lattice parameter ofa= 8.845 (1) Å and with all atoms occupying special positions. The crystal structure exhibits pronounced similarities with that of the quaternary compound Ni5.20Sn8.7Zn4.16Cu1.04.

Single-crystal X-ray diffraction study of CaIrO3
American Mineralogist, 2008Single crystals of CaIrO 3 were prepared via flux growth method. Crystal structure parameters, including the anisotropic displacement parameters, are determined based on a single-crystal X-ray diffraction experiment. The unit-cell dimensions are a = 3.147(2), b = 9.866(6), and c = 7.302(5) A.

Dehydration mechanism in brewsterite: single-crystal X-ray diffraction study
Microporous and Mesoporous Materials, 2000Abstract The crystal structure of the zeolite brewsterite (space group P2 1 /m, ideal formula (Sr,Ba) 2 Al 4 Si 12 O 32 · 10H 2 O) was studied at different dehydration levels. Six single crystals were kept in evacuated capillaries at different temperatures and for different treatment times, and the X-ray diffraction data were collected at room ...

Single-Crystal X-ray Diffraction
2016Single-crystal X-ray diffraction is an extremely powerful technique to characterize small drug molecules in solid form. It is a mature technique that is becoming ever more automated, and it is increasingly viewed as “routine” in both industry and academia.

Single-Crystal X-Ray Diffraction
1986Abstract The primary goal of single-crystal x-ray diffraction is to determine crystal structure and the arrangement of atoms in a unit cell. This article discusses the diffraction of light through line gratings and explains the significance of crystal symmetry, space groups, and diffraction intensities.

X‐Ray Diffraction Topography of Zinc Single Crystals
physica status solidi (b), 1969AbstractCrystal imperfections in zinc single crystals were studied by X‐ray topography. The zinc single crystals were obtained in a glass ampule from a molten droplet which, after solidification, acted as a nucleus for further growth from the vapour phase. The crystals adhered strongly to the glass support. The X‐ray topographs give informations on the

Single Crystals of Transfer RNA: An X-Ray Diffraction Study
Science, 1968Large single crystals of formylmethionyl transfer RNA have been prepared. An x-ray diffraction study shows that the material crystallizes in a hexagonal lattice with a equal to 170 angstroms, c equal to 234 angstroms. The diffraction pattern extends to spacings just under 20 angstroms at present. The crystals are heavily hydrated, containing 88 percent

X-ray diffraction methods: single crystal
2006Lattice-parameter determination using X-ray diffraction methods on single crystals is reviewed. All the methods are classified with respect to the measurement technique, in particular into photographic and counter-diffractometer techniques. The methods are described in approximately chronological sequence, i.e.
