Single Longitudinal Mode Green Diode Laser
Frontiers in Optics 2016, 2016We observed that a green diode laser shows single longitudinal mode output at low operation current, and its frequency can be tuned by adjusting the operation temperature and operational current. The behavior of laser modes with operational current was also investaigated.

Spectrum of single bunch longitudinal dipole modes
Physical Review E, 1998A mode of coherent longitudinal dipole motion of the beam in the National Synchrotron Light Source (NSLS) vacuum ultraviolet (vuv) ring with small frequency is observed by Biscardi {ital et al.} [Rev. Sci. Instrum. {bold 66}, 1856 (1995)]. We point out in this paper that the coherent motion observed is, although a solution to the well-known secular ...

Single longitudinal mode operation of an XeCl laser
Applied Physics Letters, 1984Single longitudinal mode output from a directly tuned, long pulse, magnetically switched XeCl laser is reported for the first time. Mode control was achieved using spatial aperatures and intracavity etalons. The narrow bandwidth laser output was diffraction limited with an optical pulse width of 30 ns, which would yield a transform limited bandwidth of

Mode evolution mechanism of Pr3+:YLF single longitudinal mode laser
Applied Physics B, 2020We develop a theoretical model of multimode rate equation that accurately describes mode evolution mechanism of prelase Q-switched Pr3+:YLF single longitudinal mode (SLM). We find that it is important to consider the effect of gain difference when calculating the mode competition time accurately.

Widely tunable single-longitudinal-mode pulsed dye laser
Optics Letters, 1989We have developed a simple cavity-length-stabilization method appropriate for single-longitudinal-mode pulsed lasers that use grazing-incidence gratings. Our technique relies on the detection of aminute (

Efficient single-longitudinal-mode Nd:YAG laser
IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, 1972A continuous TEM 00 power of more than \frac{1}{2} W has been obtained from a single-longitudinal-mode (SLM) Nd:YAG laser pumped with a 1-kW tungsten-iodine lamp. Spatial hole burning, the cause of multilongitudinal mode (MLM) oscillation, was eliminated by placing the rod between two quarter-wave plates.

Single-longitudinal-mode, tunable, pulsed Ti:sapphire laser oscillator
Optics Letters, 1989A 2.0-mJ/pulse, 2-nsec, single-longitudinal-mode Ti:sapphire laser oscillator has been demonstrated in a compact grazing-incidence cavity configuration similar to a Littman arrangement. The oscillator's output beam quality is TEM(00), making it attractive for doubling and mixing applications.

Single longitudinal mode oscillation from a multi-interferometric cavity
Applied Optics, 2009A method to generate stable single longitudinal mode (SLM) radiation from a multi-interferometric cavity configuration that can be considered as the combination of one Michelson cavity and two Fox-Smith cavities is presented. A numerical model of the interferometric cavity is investigated to optimize the laser for mode selection, and experimental ...

Mode stability analysis of nearly single-longitudinal-mode semiconductor lasers
IEEE Journal of Quantum Electronics, 1988Power fluctuations in the main mode of a nearly single-longitudinal-mode AlGaAs laser are investigated. Average CW mode powers were measured to analyze the static characteristics of oscillation. For the dynamic characteristics, the escape probability was measured to evaluate the magnitude and the frequency of fluctuations.

The influence of mode partition fluctuations in nearly single longitudinal mode lasers
Journal of Lightwave Technology, 1986A simple relationship between the mode ratio of a two-mode laser and an empirical mode partition coefficient is derived. The effects of the mode ratio of a two-mode laser on the bit-error-rate floor of an optical fiber system are calculated, and the power penalties due to mode partitioning in the presence of Gaussian receiver noise are evaluated.
