Anomalous quark chromomagnetic moment and single-spin asymmetries

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2014
We discuss a nonperturbative mechanism for the single-spin asymmetries (SSA) in the strong interaction. This mechanism is based on the existence of a large anomalous quark chromomagnetic moment (AQCM) induced by the nontrivial topological structure of QCD vacuum.

Continuous Facial Motion Deblurring

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
We introduce a novel framework for continuous facial motion deblurring that restores the continuous sharp moment latent in a single motion-blurred face image via a moment control factor.

Analysis and calculation method of critical voltage of DC commutation process considering AC system single-phase fault moments

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2019
This paper takes a close research on the impact of voltage reduction in a single phase as well as its occurring moments on commutation failures (CFs). When there is a sudden voltage reduction in a single phase, the change rule of post-fault magnitudes ...

Characteristics of displaced single photons attained via higher order factorial moments

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2012
We investigate up to the fourth order normalized factorial moments of free-propagating and pulsed single photons displaced in phase space in a phase-averaged manner.

Single-mode fibres in a few moments

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1981
It is shown that a single-mode optical fibre can be characterised by only three moments of its refractive index profile function. Exact shapes of the profile are not required. An analytically derived formula provides highly accurate values for the modal eigenvalue and all quantities used for calculating pulse dispersion.

Wigner functions in covariant and single-time formulations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We will establish the connection between the Lorentz covariant and so-called single-time formulation for the quark Wigner operator. To this end we will discuss the initial value problem for the Wigner operator of a field theory and give a discussion of ...

How We Remember the Emotional Intensity of Past Musical Experiences

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2014
Listening to music usually elicits emotions that can vary considerably in their intensity over the course of listening. Yet, after listening to a piece of music, people are easily able to evaluate the music’s overall emotional intensity.

Research on the mechanics differences between single-row and double-row side piles of station using the PBA method

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Structural Engineering, 2023
The side pile is a crucial mechanical component in station construction using the PBA (pile-beam-arch) method, and its stability during the construction process cannot be overstated.

Single-station moment tensor inversion on Mars

open access: yes, 2020
In early 2019, NASA's InSight lander successfully deployed a single three-component very broadband seismometer (VBB) on the surface of Mars to detect and characterize marsquakes.

Dipole Moments of Molecules Containing Single Chlorine Atoms [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 1978
Abstract The dipole moments of CD2ClF, CHDClF, CH3CHClF, CH3CCl=CH2, and DCOCl have been determined from the J=1←0 transitions of their microwave spectra. For the analyses of the Stark effects, the method of the intermediate field case proposed by Mizushima has been used.
