Single Parents - Single Outcomes?
, 2012 This master thesis seeks to evaluate the social economic wellbeing of single parent households across eleven European countries. Starting with market income, taxes and transfers are incorporated to arrive at a disposable income figure. Effort is further made to include the value of in kind transfers, more specifically education and health care services.

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

Yeast Gcn2 retains activity following humanization of its auto‐phosphorylation region
FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.Using Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a model to study Gcn2 activation and regulation is limited by the lack of antibodies detecting phosphorylated Gcn2. To overcome this, we engineered Gcn2‐HsC, a yeast Gcn2 variant recognizable by commercial anti‐human phospho‐GCN2 antibodies.
