Photon correlation in single-photon frequency upconversion

open access: yesOptics Express, 2012
We experimentally investigated the intensity cross-correlation between the upconverted photons and the unconverted photons in the single-photon frequency upconversion process with multi-longitudinal mode pump and signal sources. In theoretical analysis, with this multi-longitudinal mode of both signal and pump sources system, the properties of the ...

Electrostatic Superlattices Beyond 1:1 Stoichiometry

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polymer‐mediated charge regulation drives two hierarchical routes to higher‐stoichiometry nanoparticle superlattices. Tuning the polymer's molecular weight promotes progressive interstitial filling, transforming ZnS into the fully occupied CaF2${\rm CaF}_2$ lattice. Exchanging polymer assignment between large and small nanoparticles instead breaks CsCl

Nonreciprocal entangled photon pairs via spatiotemporal modulation [PDF]

open access: yesAPL Photonics
We propose a scheme based on spatiotemporal modulation to realize nonreciprocal photon blockade in a Kerr-type whispering-gallery-mode microcavity and enable the generation of nonreciprocal entangled photon pairs. In particular, spatiotemporal modulation

Photon statistics characterization of a single-photon source

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2004
n a recent experiment, we reported the time-domain intensity noise measurement of a single photon source relying on single molecule fluorescence control. In this article we present data processing, starting from photocount timestamps. The theoretical analytical expression of the time-dependent Mandel parameter Q(T) of an intermittent single photon ...

Single-photon characterization by two-photon spectral interferometry

open access: yes, 2019
Single-photon sources are a fundamental resource in quantum optics. The indistinguishability and purity of photons emitted from different sources are crucial (necessary, essential) properties for many quantum applications to ensure high-visibility ...

Programmable Soft Actuator with Multi‐Responsiveness Based on Conductive MOF‐Liquid Crystal Polymer Composite

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A sequential dual‐alignment strategy independently programs the orientation of conductive metal‐organic framework (c‐MOF) microrods and liquid crystals within a composite film. This approach creates an asymmetric bilayer structure that enables precise, multi‐responsive actuation.

Pressure‐Assisted Dimensional Transformation of 2D Hydrogenated Borophene into 0D Boron Quantum Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Hydrogenated borophene (HB) is transformed into distinct boron nanostructures through a solvent‐free thermal process. Under flowing nitrogen, hydrogen escape promotes reconstruction into B2O3 nanoplatelets, whereas hydrogen‐induced pressure under sealed conditions facilitates fragmentation into boron quantum dots.
