Rotational Lande factors of single rotational states in bromine

Individual rotational levels in the B3 Pi 0+u state of 79Br2 and 81Br2 were excited by an acousto-optically chopped, single-mode Ar+ laser. The intensity of the fluorescent light, measured as a function of time following the laser pulses, was found to exhibit Zeeman quantum beats.

Single-mode fiber-optical polarization rotator

A birefringent single-mode optical fiber is twisted mechanically in alternating sense on successive half-wave fiber sections. This arrangement, applicable in-line to a fiber, permits continuous adjustment of the state of polarization at the fiber output.

Single-lobe rotation flaps

The basic principles of a single-lobe flap are discussed along with the description of a modified slide-swing rotational flap. This rotation flap is called the Schrudde flap, and it has many applications in the treatment of skin defects of the foot and ankle. This rotation skin flap procedure provides excellent end results with high patient acceptance.

A Single Plane Method of Rotation

The method of rotation described here is applied to one hyperplane at a time. The method seems to be simple and quite effective and it can be applied by a relatively inexperienced computer. The method does not postulate a positive manifold, and hence it is applicable also to bipolar factors.
