Abstract Sampling inspection is a product-control methodology and consists of procedures for making decisions on the disposition of lots of finished products based on the inspection of individual units in one or more random samples drawn from the lots or from the process.

Matching Performance of Continuous Sampling Plans with Single Sampling Plans
Communications in Statistics - Simulation and Computation, 1990Single sampling plans are widely used for appraising incoming product quality. However, for situations where a continuous product flow exists, lot-by-lot demarcations may not exist, and it may be necessary to use alternate procedures, such as CSP-1, for continuous processes.

Tightened single-level continuous sampling plan
Journal of Applied Statistics, 1998In this paper, a new tightening concept has been incorporated into the single-level continuous sampling plan CSP-1, such that quality degradation will warrant sampling inspection to cease beyond a certain number of sampled items, until new evidence of good quality is established.

AOQL Single Sampling Plans from a Single Chart and Table
Journal of the American Statistical Association, 1949Abstract This paper presents a single chart and table from which AOQL (Average Outgoing Quality Limit) Single Sampling Plans may be determined with ease. These plans yield a close approximation to minimum inspection both for unknown incoming quality and for known average incoming quality unless the variation in quality from lot to lot is extremely ...

Bayesian Approach to Single Variable Sampling Plans
Biometrika, 1988We develop a model of sampling plans for variables with a polynomial loss function, in which the decision function is either one-sided or two- sided. Based on a Bayesian approach, we suggest a simple finite algorithm for the determination of the optimal single sampling plan.

Computer design and evaluation of single-sampling plans
Computers & Industrial Engineering, 1977Abstract This article describes two programs, developed by the University of DaytonSchool of Engineering, useful in designing and evaluating attribute single-sampling plans. The first program can be used to design single-sampling plans, given two points. The second program can be used to simultaneously evaluate up to five single-sampling plans.

A New Design on Attributes Single Sampling Plans
Communications in Statistics - Theory and Methods, 2015In this article, two new approaches are introduced to design attributes single plans, and the corresponding models are constructed separately. For Approach I, an algorithm is proposed to design sampling plans by setting a goal function to fulfill the two-point conditions on the operating characteristic curve.

Stochastic Parameter Single Sampling Plans of Given Strength
Calcutta Statistical Association Bulletin, 1991The problem of designing a single sampling plan is consi-dered when acceptable and rejectable quality levels are required to be assumed as random variables. The problem is formulated as a stochastic goal programing problem. Numerical examples for approximate and exact solution methods as well as a sensitivity analysis are included.

Cost Minimizing Single Sampling Plans with AIQL and AOQL Constraints
Management Science, 1974This paper investigates and formulates the relationships among average incoming quality limit (AIQL), production process quality level and average fraction defective after production process for a single-stage manufacturing connected-unit situation. Cost components of the system are identified.
