High‐throughput screening led to the identification of 67 Z‐scheme heterojunctions (comprising 2D magnetic transition metal halides and non‐magnetic transition metal chalcogenides). For CrI3/MoTe2 and CrI3/WTe2, electronic structure analysis demonstrated that synergistic crystallographic point group and built‐in electric field effects generate a ...

Plasmon-enhanced sensitization of singlet oxygen on silver island films
The influence of the plasmonic effect of silver island films on the absorption, fluorescence and long-term luminescence of rose bengal in polyvinyl butyral films has been studied. Under the plasmon effect, the optical density of the dye increased by 3.3

Resveratrol Dimers as Singlet Oxygen Quenchers
Singlet oxygen is an electrophilic reactive oxygen species (ROS) found naturally in biological systems. We determined the ability of several dimers of trans-resveratrol to act as singlet oxygen scavengers.

Singlet oxygen generation through imidazoacridinone derivatives.
Time-resolved luminescence of singlet oxygen (1O2) was measured at 1270 nm. The excitation wavelength used was 355 nm. Rose Bengal, anthracene, and TMPyP were used as standards with known singlet oxygen quantum yields.

Advances and Perspectives in Graphene‐Based Quantum Dots Enabled Neuromorphic Devices
Graphene‐based QDs are zero‐dimensional carbon nanomaterials with pronounced quantum confinement and tunable electronic structures. Herein, we summarize their synthesis strategies and functionalization methods, and highlight their functional roles and operating mechanisms in devices, as well as recent advances in neuromorphic electronics. We anticipate

The physiology and pharmacology of singlet oxygen
Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are generated by many different cells. Singlet oxygen (1O(2)) and a reaction product of it, excited carbonyls (C=O*), are important ROS. 1O(2) and C=O* are nonradicalic and emit light (one photon/molecule) when returning to ground state oxygen.

The T1 state of p-nitroaniline and related molecules: a CNDO/S study
The nature of the lowest energy triplet state (T1) of p-nitroaniline (PNA), N,N-dimethyl-p-nitroaniline (DMPNA) and nitrobenzene (NB) is reexamd. using the semiempirical CNDO/S-CI method with selected parameter options.
