High‐Index, Low‐Loss Optical Material Platforms for Ultra‐Broadband Ultraviolet‐to‐Visible Achromatic Metalenses

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An integrated material platform combining engineered SiNx thin films and printable ZrO2 nanoparticle‐embedded resin enables broadband achromatic metalenses from the ultraviolet to visible range. The demonstrated meta‐optics achieve near‐diffraction‐limited focusing with minimal chromatic aberration.

Nanotherapies for Atherosclerosis: Targeting, Catalysis, and Energy Transduction

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Atherosclerosis management is hindered by poor drug targeting and plaque heterogeneity. Nanotechnology overcomes these barriers via three core strategies: (1) target‐engineered nanocarriers that achieve lesion‐specific precision via ligand modification, biomimetic camouflage, stimuli‐responsive release, and self‐propelling nanomotors; (2) catalytic ...

Singlet-Triplet Physics and Shell Filling in Carbon Nanotube Double Quantum Dots

open access: yes, 2007
An artifcial two-atomic molecule, also called a double quantum dot (DQD), is an ideal system for exploring few electron physics. Spin-entanglement between just two electrons can be explored in such systems where singlet and triplet states are accessible.

Airborne 1O2 Delivery via a Superhydrophobic Dressing as a Pathway to Next‐Generation Wound Therapies, an in Vivo Murine Burn Model Study

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of the SH bandage placed on an infected burn wound and its role in wound healing. A superhydrophobic PDMS membrane coated with the PS verteporfin is placed over the wound area and illuminated with a red laser at 690 nm, generating airborne 1O2 above the tissue.

Laser technologies in treatment of patients with secondary lymphostasis of lower extremities [PDF]

open access: yesСаратовский научно-медицинский журнал, 2010
Photodynamic therapy (PDT), matured as a feasible medical technology in the 1980s at several institutions throughout the world, is a ternary treatment for cancer involving three key components: a photosensitizer, light, and tissue oxygen.

The phthalocyanines applications in photodynamic therapy investigated by time-resolved and steady-state photothermal methods

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, 2002
The time-resolved photothermal methods are used in order to establish the yield of intersystem (singlet-triplet) crossing of dyes that are candidates for the application in photodynamic therapy.

Negative-Parity Baryons in Quenched Anisotropic Lattice QCD

open access: yes, 2003
We study negative-parity baryon spectra in quenched anisotropic lattice QCD. The negative-parity baryons are measured as the parity partner of the ground-state baryons.
