SINGLET GROUND STATE MAGNETISM
We discuss the magnetic behavior of rare earth systems where the crystal-field-only ground state of the rare earth ion is a singlet. As exchange increases in such a system, magnetic ordering at zero temperature occurs through a polarization instability of the singlet ground state.

Determination of singlet oxygen quenching rate and mechanism of γ-oryzanol
Photooxidation is one of the causes of quality deterioration in food. An antioxidant or singlet oxygen quencher is urgently needed to prevent photooxidation. γ-Oryzanol was recognized as a naturally present antioxidant in rice bran products.

Identifying (BN)2-pyrene as a new class of singlet fission chromophores: significance of azaborine substitution [PDF]
Singlet fission converts one photoexcited singlet state to two triplet excited states and raises photoelectric conversion efficiency in photovoltaic devices.

Wave function of the sexaquark or compact H-dibaryon
We derive and explicitly display the internal wave function of a color-, flavor- and spin- singlet dibaryon composed of uuddss quarks in a spatially symmetric state, in the approximation of exact SU(3) flavor symmetry.

Nuclear spin singlet is a special quantum state that lasts longer than T1 and can be used to study slow diffusion and motion between molecules. The preparation of singlet states is the key to their successful application.

Unveiling the concentration dependent direct triplet formation via singlet fission in a tetracene derivative [PDF]
Singlet fission is slowed down on diffusional timescales in highly concentrated solutions compared to thin films for a tetracene-like molecule. The underlying mechanism suggests competing intersystem crossing and singlet fission, where in the latter ...

Dissociative Autoionization in (1+2)-photon Above Threshold Excitation of H2 Molecules [PDF]
We have theoretically studied the effect of dissociative autoionization on the photoelectron energy spectrum in (1+2)-photon above threshold ionization(ATI) of H2 molecules. We have considered excitation from the ground state X-singlet-Sigma-g+(v=0,j) to

Concurrence vs. purity: Influence of local channels on Bell states of two qubits
We analyze how a maximally entangled state of two-qubits (e.g., the singlet $\psi_s$) is affected by action of local channels described by completely positive maps $\cE$ .
