Entanglement, measurement, and conditional evolution of the Kondo singlet interacting with a mesoscopic detector

open access: yes, 2007
We investigate various aspects of the Kondo singlet in a quantum dot (QD) electrostatically coupled to a mesoscopic detector. The two subsystems are represented by an entangled state between the Kondo singlet and the charge-dependent detector state.

Photonic mode density effects on single-molecule fluorescence blinking [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We investigated the influence of the photonic mode density (PMD) on the triplet dynamics of individual chromophores on a dielectric interface by comparing their response in the presence and absence of a nearby gold film.

Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

Cotunneling Spectroscopy in Few-Electron Quantum Dots

open access: yes, 2004
Few-electron quantum dots are investigated in the regime of strong tunneling to the leads. Inelastic cotunneling is used to measure the two-electron singlet-triplet splitting above and below a magnetic field driven singlet-triplet transition.

Photophysical Property of Sanguinarine in the Excited Singlet State [PDF]

open access: yesPhotochemistry and Photobiology, 1992
Abstract—The photophysical property of the alkanolamine form of sanguinarine has been studied in aqueous and organic medium under various environmental conditions from the measurement of absorption, fluorescence and NMR spectroscopy. Alkanolamine fluorescence shows an excitation time dependent fluorescence quenching and the rate of quenching increases ...

Near‐Infrared Emitting Lanthanide Catecholate Giant Single Crystals – Morphology Control and Photon Down‐Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled syntheses of lanthanide coordination polymers based on the dihydroxybenzoquinone (DHBQ) organic linker afforded large single crystals of Ln‐DHBQ CPs (Ln = Yb, Nd). A novel structural variant of Yb‐DHBQ is identified by means of single crystal diffraction analysis.

Symmetry Breaking Charge Transfer in DNA-Templated Perylene Dimer Aggregates

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
Molecular aggregates are of interest to a broad range of fields including light harvesting, organic optoelectronics, and nanoscale computing. In molecular aggregates, nonradiative decay pathways may emerge that were not present in the constituent ...

A complementary relation between classical bits and randomness in local part in simulating singlet state

open access: yes, 2011
Recently Leggett's proposal of non-local model generates new interest in simulating the statistics of singlet state. Singlet state statistics can be simulated by 1 bit of classical communication without using any further nonlocal correlation.

Efficient generation of many-body singlet states of spin-1 bosons in optical superlattices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We propose an efficient stepwise adiabatic merging (SAM) method to generate many-body singlet states in antiferromagnetic spin-1 bosons in concatenated optical superlattices with isolated double-well arrays, by adiabatically ramping up the double-well ...

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron
