Bioenergy Cropping Reduces the Spatiotemporal Scaling of Soil Bacterial Biodiversity
Consistent with patterns observed in plant and animal communities, soil bacterial communities exhibit significant species–time–area and phylogenetic–time–area relationships independent of nested structure. Bioenergy cropping significantly reduces the spatiotemporal scaling rates, particularly in sandy loam soils.

The authors complement bovine pan‐SV with massive novel structural variations (SVs) identified through long‐read sequencing of 83 globally distributed cattle breeds. Repetitive sequence‐mediated SVs (rep‐SV) exhibit distinct dynamic patterns throughout cattle sub‐speciation and/or domestication processes, including uneven distribution between chr‐X and

On Subsystem Codes Beating the Hamming or Singleton Bound [PDF]
Subsystem codes are a generalization of noiseless subsystems, decoherence free subspaces, and quantum error-correcting codes. We prove a Singleton bound for GF(q)-linear subsystem codes.

This study integrates random matrix theory (RMT) and principal component analysis (PCA) to improve the identification of correlated regions in HIV protein sequences for vaccine design. PCA validation enhances the reliability of RMT‐derived correlations, particularly in small‐sample, high‐dimensional datasets, enabling more accurate detection of ...

A new perspective on how humans assess their surroundings; derivation of head orientation and its role in ‘framing’ the environment [PDF]
Understanding the way humans inform themselves about their environment is pivotal in helping explain our susceptibility to stimuli and how this modulates behaviour and movement patterns.

Unification and Matching on Compressed Terms [PDF]
Term unification plays an important role in many areas of computer science, especially in those related to logic. The universal mechanism of grammar-based compression for terms, in particular the so-called Singleton Tree Grammars (STG), have recently ...

ABSTRACT To investigate the correlation between genetic abnormalities and fetal genitourinary (GU) anomalies in Eastern China and to provide assistance for the clinical management of fetuses with different types of GU anomalies. Five hundred forty‐five fetuses with GU anomalies were enrolled, undergoing karyotyping, copy number variation sequencing ...
