Movement Disorders in Aicardi–Goutières Syndrome and Response to Immunomodulation

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study characterizes movement disorders and treatment responses in seven children with Aicardi–Goutières syndrome (AGS). We retrospectively evaluated motor phenotypes, neuroimaging, and interferon signatures in patients treated with baricitinib or anifrolumab. Spasticity affected all patients, while dystonia was present in 4/7.

Evaluating search engines and large language models for answering health questions

open access: yesnpj Digital Medicine
Search engines (SEs) have traditionally been primary tools for information seeking, but the new large language models (LLMs) are emerging as powerful alternatives, particularly for question-answering tasks.

CAR T‐Cell Therapy in Neurology: A Scoping Review of Neuro‐Oncology, Autoimmune Diseases & Neurotoxicity

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T‐cell therapy has been investigated in neurological diseases, encompassing both central nervous system malignancies and autoimmune disorders, thereby extending its application beyond hematological cancers.

Rational points on singular intersections of quadrics

open access: yes, 2013
Given an intersection of two quadrics X ⊂ ℙm-1, with m ≥ 9, the quantitative arithmetic of the set X(ℚ) is investigated under the assumption that the singular locus of consists of a pair of conjugate singular points defined over &#

Clinical Practice Guideline for Evaluation and Management of Peripheral Nervous System Manifestations in Sjögren's Disease

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Sjögren's disease is an autoimmune disorder that can impact multiple organ systems, including the peripheral nervous system (PNS). PNS manifestations, which can exist concurrently, include mononeuropathies, polyneuropathies, and autonomic nervous system neuropathies.

Zero cycles on singular surfaces

open access: yes, 2009
Let X be a reduced and projective singular surface over ℂ and let ˜X → X be a resolution of singularities of X. We show that CH2(X) ≅ CH2(˜X) if and only if H2(X,ΩiX/C)≅ H2(˜X,Ωi˜X/C) for i = 0, 1.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Signal Extraction and Forecasting of the UK Tourism Income Time Series. A Singular Spectrum Analysis Approach

open access: yes
We present and apply the Singular Spectrum Analysis (SSA), a relatively new, non-parametric and data-driven method used for signal extraction (trends, seasonal and business cycle components) and forecasting of the UK tourism income. Our results show that
