Surface Diffusion in SnTe‐PbTe Monolayer Lateral Heterostructures
The lateral heterostructures between 2D materials often suffer from the interdiffusion at the interfaces. Here, a surface diffusion mechanism is found to be dominating at the interfaces between semiconducting SnTe and PbTe monolayers. Atomically sharp interfaces can be achieved by suppressing this diffusion process. ABSTRACT The construction of complex

A Singular Function Boundary Integral Method for Laplacian Problems with Boundary Singularities
SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, 2006A singular function boundary integral method for Laplacian problems with boundary singularities is analyzed. In this method, the solution is approximated by the truncated asymptotic expansion for the solution near the singular point and the Dirichlet boundary conditions are weakly enforced by means of Lagrange multiplier functions.

An Improved Formulation of Singular Boundary Method
Advances in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, 2012This study proposes a new formulation of singular boundary method (SBM) to solve the 2D potential problems, while retaining its original merits being free of integration and mesh, easy-to-program, accurate and mathematically simple without the requirement of a fictitious boundary as in the method of fundamental solutions (MFS).

Collocation Methods for Singular Boundary Value Problems
SIAM Journal on Numerical Analysis, 1978The application of collocation methods based on piecewise polynomials to the numerical solution of boundary value problems for systems of ordinary differential equations with a singularity of the first kind is examined. The schemes are shown to be stable and convergent.
