Second-Order Differential Equation with Indefinite and Repulsive Singularities
This paper concerns a second-order differential equation with indefinite and repulsive singularities. It is the first time to study differential equation containing both indefinite and repulsive singularities simultaneously. A set of sufficient conditions are obtained for the existence of positive periodic solutions.

Subject Bare Singulars in Brazilian Portuguese and Information Structure
This paper contributes to the debate on the semantics of bare singular nouns (BSNs) in Brazilian Portuguese by looking at the restrictions on their use as subjects. After a reassessment of the literature (e.g., Schmitt & Munn 1999, Müller 2000, Pires

On Indefinite Singular Generics
Consider a simple statement like 'A dog has four legs', which, under a generic reading, is an example of an Indefinite Singular (IS) generic. Different varieties of generics are differentiated by their subject nominal type; for instance, English has both the indefinite singular and bare plural (BP) generic (e.g. 'Dogs have four legs').

Numerical indefinite integration of functions with singularities [PDF]
We derive an indefinite quadrature formula, based on a theorem of Ganelius, for H p H^p functions, for p > 1 p>1 , over the interval ( − 1 , 1 ) (-1,1) .

Abstract Representational drift is a phenomenon of increasing interest in the cognitive and neural sciences. While investigations are ongoing for other sensory cortices, recent research has demonstrated the pervasiveness in which it occurs in the piriform cortex for olfaction.

Cross-linguistic variation in the expression of ignorance
This article examines the properties of epistemic indefinites (EIs) when pluralized, focusing on the following puzzle: while ignorance is expressed by both singular and plural EIs in a number of languages, e.g.

On the Generic Use of Indefinite Singulars [PDF]
The distribution of indefinite singular generics is much more restricted than that of bare plural generics. The former, unlike the latter, seem to require that the property predicated of their subject be, in some sense, definitional'. Moreover, the two constructions exhibit different scopal behaviour, and differ in their felicity in conjunctions ...

Over half of cancer patients undergo radiotherapy. Laser ablation enabled the synthesis of immiscible Au‐Fe‐B nanoparticles designed as degradable bimodal radiosensitizers for X‐ray radiotherapy (XRT), boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT), and bimodal imaging for X‐ray computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). These nanosensitizers

A two‐phase workflow (OFAT screening followed by central composite design) maps how processing variables tune PFCE‐PLGA nanoparticle size, dispersity, surface charge, loading, and 19F‐MRI signal. In situ, time‐resolved synchrotron SAXS tracks albumin‐corona growth on intact dispersions and reveals PFCE‐dependent adsorption pathways.

Abstract This study explores the rent price ratio in agricultural land markets, crucial for evaluating market efficiency, policy needs, and farmer decision‐making. Traditionally, the analyses faced challenges due to the absence of concurrent sale and rent data for the same land, potentially leading to biased results.
