Solamargine induces acute myeloid leukemia differentiation through TLR8 activation
VIEW, EarlyView.SM, a steroidal alkaloid from Solanum nigrum L. has shown anticancer effect on various kinds of human cancer cells, yet its effect on leukemia cells remains unclear. This study examines antileukemic activities of SM in AML cells. Results indicate SM inhibits growth and promotes apoptosis of AML cells.

A geometric representation of improper indefinite affine spheres with singularities [PDF]
Journal of Geometry, 2011 Given a pair of planar curves, one can define its generalized area distance, a concept that generalizes the area distance of a single curve. In this paper, we show that the generalized area distance of a pair of planar curves is an improper indefinite affine spheres with singularities, and, reciprocally, every indefinite improper affine sphere in $\R^3$
