Approximation by singular integral operators

open access: yes, 2021

Design of quadrature rules for Müntz and Müntz-logarithmic polynomials using monomial transformation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
A method for constructing the exact quadratures for Müntz and Müntz-logarithmic polynomials is presented. The algorithm does permit to anticipate the precision (machine precision) of the numerical integration of Müntz-logarithmic polynomials in terms of ...

Boundedness of Rough Multiple Oscillatory Singular Integral Operators on Triebel–Lizorkin Space

open access: yesMathematics
In this article, we investigate oscillatory singular integral operators on product domains. We establish the boundedness of these operators on Triebel–Lizorkin spaces under weak assumptions on the rough kernel functions.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

A Theoretical Study on the Rank of the Integral Operators for Large-‐Scale Electrodynamic Analysis

open access: yes, 2011
We theoretically prove that the minimal rank of the interaction between two separated geometry blocks in an integral-equation based analysis of general three-dimensional objects, for a prescribed error bound, scales linearly with the electric size of the

Potential method in the theory of Moore-Gibson-Thompson thermoporoelasticity

open access: yesArchives of Mechanics
In the present paper the linear theory of Moore–Gibson–Thompson thermoporoelasticity is considered and the basic boundary value problems (BVPs) of steady vibrations are investigated.

A Thermodynamic 3D Model for the Simulation of Diffusion‐Controlled Alloying Processes in Heterogeneous Material Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical model resulting from irreversible thermodynamics for describing transport processes is introduced, focusing on thermodynamic activity gradients as the actual driving force for diffusion. Implemented in CUDA C++ and using CalPhaD methods for determining the necessary activity data, the model accurately simulates interdiffusion in aluminum ...

Cauchy singular integral equation method for transient antiplane dynamic problems

open access: yes, 1996
In this paper, by use of the boundary integral equation method and the techniques of Green basic solution and singularity analysis, the dynamic problem of antiplane is investigated. The problem is reduced to solving a Cauchy singular integral equation in

The method for calculating singular integrals in problems of axially symmetric Stokes flows

open access: yesВісник Харківського національного університету імені В.Н. Каразіна. Серія: Математичне моделювання, інформаційні технології, автоматизовані системи управління, 2019
The flow of a viscous fluid at small Reynolds numbers (Stokes flow) in a three-dimensional formulation is investigated. In this case, the inertial terms in the equations of motion can be neglected. Such flows can occur in nanotubes that can be considered
