Beyond digital twins: the role of foundation models in enhancing the interpretability of multiomics modalities in precision medicine

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review highlights how foundation models enhance predictive healthcare by integrating advanced digital twin modeling with multiomics and biomedical data. This approach supports disease management, risk assessment, and personalized medicine, with the goal of optimizing health outcomes through adaptive, interpretable digital simulations, accessible ...

Space-time domain solutions of the wave equation by a non-singular boundary integral method and Fourier transform

open access: yes, 2017
The general space-time evolution of the scattering of an incident acoustic plane wave pulse by an arbitrary configuration of targets is treated by employing a recently developed non-singular boundary integral method to solve the Helmholtz equation in the

Numerical methods for solution of singular integral equations [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
This paper is devoted to overview of the authors works for numerical solution of singular integral equations (SIE), polysingular integral equations and multi-dimensional singular integral equations of the second kind. The authors investigated onsidered iterative - projective methods and parallel methods for solution of singular integral equations ...

Hydrophobicity causes anomalous migration of cystine/glutamate antiporter SLC7A11 in SDS‐PAGE with low acrylamide concentration

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
SLC7A11 frequently migrates faster in SDS‐PAGE. The present study found that the high hydrophobicity of SLC7A11 causes its anomalous migration in SDS‐PAGE with a low concentration of acrylamide gel. Replacing isoleucine with asparagine reduced hydrophobicity and restored its normal migration at 55 kDa, revealing the role of hydrophobicity and gel ...

Singularity confinement and algebraic integrability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Two important notions of integrability for discrete mappings are algebraic integrability and singularity confinement, have been used for discrete mappings. Algebraic integrability is related to the existence of sufficiently many conserved quantities whereas singularity confinement is associated with the local analysis of singularities.

Long non‐coding RNAs as therapeutic targets in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and clinical application

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Long non‐coding RNAs (lncRNAs) occupy an abundant fraction of the eukaryotic transcriptome and an emerging area in cancer research. Regulation by lncRNAs is based on their subcellular localization in HNSCC. This cartoon shows the various functions of lncRNAs in HNSCC discussed in this review.

Eigenvalues of integral operator of the singular integral equation for a thin tubular vibrator antenna

open access: yesФизика волновых процессов и радиотехнические системы, 2019
The singular integral equation of a thin tubular vibrator is considered. This paper analyzed the dependence of the eigenvalues of the integral operator of the singular integral equation on the frequency and geometric dimensions of the vibrator with the ...

$L^p$ bounds for singular integrals and maximal singular integrals with rough kernels [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 1997
Convolution type Calder\'on-Zygmund singular integral operators with rough kernels $\pv \Om(x)/|x|^n$ are studied. A condition on $\Om$ implying that the corresponding singular integrals and maximal singular integrals map $L^p \to L^p$ for $1

Computing Highly Oscillatory Integrals [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2015
We develop two classes of composite moment-free numerical quadratures for computing highly oscillatory integrals having integrable singularities and stationary points. The first class of the quadrature rules has a polynomial order of convergence and the second class has an exponential order of convergence.
