Singular integrals on Sierpinski gaskets [PDF]

open access: yesPublicacions Matemàtiques, 2009
We construct a class of singular integral operators associated with homogeneous Calder n-Zygmund standard kernels on $d$-dimensional, $d <1$, Sierpinski gaskets $E_d$. These operators are bounded in $L^2( _d)$ and their principal values diverge $ _d$ almost everywhere, where $ _d$ is the natural (d-dimensional) measure on $E_d$.

Space-time domain solutions of the wave equation by a non-singular boundary integral method and Fourier transform

open access: yes, 2017
The general space-time evolution of the scattering of an incident acoustic plane wave pulse by an arbitrary configuration of targets is treated by employing a recently developed non-singular boundary integral method to solve the Helmholtz equation in the

L P estimates for the maximal singular integral in terms of the singular integral [PDF]

open access: yesJournal d'Analyse Mathématique, 2015
This paper continues the study, initiated in the works {MOV} and {MOPV}, of the problem of controlling the maximal singular integral $T^{*}f$ by the singular integral $Tf$. Here $T$ is a smooth homogeneous Calder n-Zygmund singular integral operator of convolution type.

Beyond digital twins: the role of foundation models in enhancing the interpretability of multiomics modalities in precision medicine

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review highlights how foundation models enhance predictive healthcare by integrating advanced digital twin modeling with multiomics and biomedical data. This approach supports disease management, risk assessment, and personalized medicine, with the goal of optimizing health outcomes through adaptive, interpretable digital simulations, accessible ...

Analogue Sochocky formulae for integral operators with additional logarithmic singularity

open access: yesЖурнал Белорусского государственного университета: Математика, информатика, 2018
In this paper we prove the limit formulas for singular integrals of the form. Limit values of such integrals are expressed in terms of singular integral operators and also integral operators.

Long non‐coding RNAs as therapeutic targets in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and clinical application

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Long non‐coding RNAs (lncRNAs) occupy an abundant fraction of the eukaryotic transcriptome and an emerging area in cancer research. Regulation by lncRNAs is based on their subcellular localization in HNSCC. This cartoon shows the various functions of lncRNAs in HNSCC discussed in this review.

Approximation theorems for the Gauss-Weierstrass singular integral [PDF]

open access: yesRendiconti di Matematica e delle Sue Applicazioni, 1995
In this paper we present three approximation theorems for the Gauss-Weierstrass singular integral in the spaces Lp (1 ≤ p < ∞), C and Hölder spaces. Those theorems generalize and improve the results for the Gauss-Weierstrass singular integral given in ...

Solutions for singular Volterra integral equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2009
We consider the system of Volterra integral equations $$ \begin{array}{l} u_i(t)=\int_{0}^{t}g_i(t,s)[P_i(s,u_1(s),u_2(s),\cdots, u_n(s)) + Q_i(s,u_1(s),u_2(s),\cdots, u_n(s))]ds, t\in [0,T],1\leq i\leq n \end{array} $$ where $T>0$ is fixed and the ...

A numerical method for solving a complete hypersingular integral equation of the second kind and its justification

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2023
A complete hypersingular integral equation of the second kind was obtained as a boundary integral equation for the diffraction and scattering problem of electromagnetic waves in space separated by the periodically placed non-perfectly conducting strips.

Gut alterations in a chronic kidney disease rat model with diet‐induced vascular calcification

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients often suffer from intestinal and/or mineral and bone disorders. Using a rat model, we showed that uremic vascular calcification is associated with gut barrier alterations (decreased gut mucus production and Nlrp6 gene expression, increased gut inflammation), and plasma retention of gut‐origin uremic toxins (indoxyl
