Abstract We point out how the singularity structure analysis of solutions of the generalized χ-dependent Hirota equation systematically provides the integrability aspects of the equation. The Lax pair, Backlund transformation and soliton solutions are constructed from the analysis.

Exploring the dark and singular soliton solutions of Biswas–Arshed model with full nonlinear form
Optik, 2020Abstract In this paper, the optical solitons of two nonlinear forms, namely Kerr type and power law form, of Biswas–Arshed model are studied. To construct optical solitary wave solutions of the aforementioned model, the modified extended tanh expansion method was used successful.

Singular and non-topological soliton solutions for nonlinear fractional differential equations
Chinese Physics B, 2015In this article, the fractional derivatives are described in the modified Riemann–Liouville sense. We propose a new approach, namely an ansatz method, for solving fractional differential equations (FDEs) based on a fractional complex transform and apply it to solve nonlinear space–time fractional equations.

In this paper, we pay attention to the analytical method named, ansatz method for finding the exact solutions of the variable-coefficient modified KdV equation and variable coefficient diffusion-reaction equation. As a result the singular 1-soliton solution is obtained.
