In Situ Interfacial Assembly of Dynamic Semi‐Interpenetrating Biopolymer Networks for Robust and Mechanically Adaptive Droplet Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A dynamic interfacial semi‐interpenetrating polymer network is constructed by sequential assembly of β‐sheet‐rich SF and CS‐RL. The SF framework provides mechanical strength, while dynamically associated CS‐RL enables local rearrangement, allowing droplets to rapidly reconfigure without loss of interfacial integrity.

Tantalum–Palladium Ultrathin Resistance Hydrogen Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nanoconfined Ta‐alloy thin films enable fast, reversible hydrogen sensing by suppressing unwanted phase transitions. A Ta0.88${\rm Ta}_{0.88}$Pd0.12${\rm Pd}_{0.12}$ sensing layer delivers hysteresis‐free detection from ppb to 100% H2${\rm H}_2$ at room temperature.

Microfluidic Architecting of Patchy MXene Core‐Shell Particles for Ultralow‐Loading Photothermal Shape‐Memory Actuation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Spatially distributing Ti3C2Tx nanosheets into core‐shell architecture, rather than as directly dispersed flakes, mitigates aggregation and enhances photon harvesting. When the Ti3C2Tx core‐shell particles are incorporated into a shape‐memory polymer matrix at an ultralow loading of 0.0024 wt%, the improved photothermal conversion translates into ...

Molecular Bridges for 2D Nanomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Molecular cross‐linking provides a versatile strategy to engineer interfaces in 2D materials. By tuning the linker backbone, binding mode, and interflake spacing, molecular bridges can regulate charge transport, mechanical integrity, chemical functionality, and processing.

Beyond Primary Nucleation: Molecular Basis of Peptide Crystal Secondary Nucleation at Soft Interface

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
High spatiotemporal‐resolution atomic force microscopy directly resolved peptide secondary nucleation (SN) and growth characteristics and mechanisms on HOPG. The landscape of peptide nucleation sites, growth dynamics, molecular‐scale structures, phase transitions, and cross‐seeding processes were realized.
